المستخلص: هذا البحث عبارة عن بقعة ضوء أسقطت على عدد من المسائل الخلافية التي تناولتها ابن ام قاسم المرادي في شرحه على ألفية ابن مالك، وترجيحاته ونقده.
ويبين البحث أن الدافع للمتأخرين إلى البحث في مسائل خلافية أشبعها المتقدمون بحثا لم يكن القصد منه إكمال نقص أو تصحيح انحراف أو زيادة فوائد أو بيان خطأ فحسب! وإنما الدافع الرئيس كان لأغراض تعليمية.
فقد شرح ابن مالك ألفيته شرحا مفصلا، وكذلك فعل ابنه، وخلق كثيرون منهم شيخ المرادي أبو حيان الأندلسي، ومع تعظيم المرادي للشروح التي وقف عليها فإنه لم يكتف بها وآثر أن يزيد تلك الشروح شرحا فوضع كتابه (توضيح المقاصد والمسالك)، فهل جاء بجديد خلت منه الشروح السابقة لشرحه؟، وهل أضاف بشرحه ما يستحق عناء وضع شرح جديد؟
الظاهرة أن النزعة إلى تيسير النحو هي التي دفعت بالمرادي إلى وضع شرحه، وبظهر ذلك من وقفاته التي يصدرها بقوله: (تنبيه)، (تنبيهان)، (تنبيهات)؛ فيدرج تحتها ما تراكم عنده من النكت والفوائد التي ظهرت له مع تقادم الزمان في اشتغاله بتدريس الألفية؛ ولم يقصد إلى معارضة الشروح التي ظهرت قبل شرحه.

This research is like a spot of light that has been dropped upon a number of controversial issues addressed by Ibn Umm Qasim al-Muradi in his explanatory commentary of Ibn Malik’s “Alfiyah”, what he outweighs and his criticism.
The research shows that the motivation of those who came later to examine contentious issues that were researched by those who came earlier … that the intention was not only to complete a deficiency, correct a deviation, increase benefits or indicate an error! Rather, the main motive was for educational purposes.
That is as Ibn Malik explained his “Alfiyah” in a detailed manner, as did his son. Many of them esteemed Shaykh al-Muradi Abu Hayyan al-Andalusi. Even though Al-Muradi praised the commentaries which he examined, he did not suffice with them, but rather he preferred to increase upon those explanatory commentaries, so he wrote his book “Tawdeeh ul-Maqaasid Wa-l-Masaalik” (Clarifying the Purposes and Pathways). Did he then bring something new which the previous commentaries failed to explain? And did he add, through his explanation, something that makes a new explanation worthy?
It is apparent that the tendency to facilitate or simplify the grammar is what prompted his explanation. That is apparent from his compositions which he issued by his saying: “Alert”, “Two Alert”, “Alerts”. It includes what he has accumulated in terms of jokes and the benefits that appeared to him with the maturing of time during his occupation with the teaching of “Al-Alfiyah” (Of Ibn Maalik). That is whilst he did not intend to oppose the commentaries which came before his own explanation.
