المستخلص: Dawood Pasha constructed a number of facilities in Mecca, from which the document mentioned a school, hospice, inn, two houses beside two shops, a sitting area, an assembly place, a kitchen and a place for purification in “Al-Mas’iy Al-Mu’azham” in Mecca. In the following, we will present what this document specifically contained in respect to those facilities.
The school and the hospice: This school and hospice were adjacent and were both located between the honorable “Umrah” and the “Door of Ibrahim” from among the doors of the Haram Sharif of Mecca. The document did not include a description of this school and only included a mention of the spending approaches of some of the employers within it or within the hospice. The document mentioned that the hospice contained numerous cells, numbering 44 upper and lower cells. Each of which contained a door. Inside and in front of each cell was a garden allotted to it. The mentioned hospice had a kitchen, purification or washing area and water well.
The inn: The document mentions that this inn contained nine accommodations with complete facilities prepared for utilization.
The two houses: There were two houses; one was known as “Al-‘Uzlah” and was situated at the line of the door of the Inviolable Mosque and which was known in the past as the Bani Sahm door and in recent times as the “Umrah” door. The other house was situated at the “Suwaiqah” line.
The place in “Al-Mas’iy Al-Mu’azham”: The document contained a detailed description of the structural facilities of this place.

عمر داود باشا بمكة المشرفة عدة منشآت ذكرت الوثيقة منها مدرسة ورباط وخان، ودارين إلى جانب دكانين ومقعد ومجلس ومطبخ وطهارة بالمسعي المعظم بمكة المشرفة، وسنعرض فيما يلي ما تضمنته الوثيقة بخصوص تلك المنشآت.
المدرسة والرباط: كانت هذه المدرسة والرباط متجاورين وكلاهما فيما بين العمرة الشريفة وباب إبراهيم من أبواب الحرم الشريف المكي، ولم تتضمن الوثيقة وصفا لهذه المدرسة وإنما تضمنت ذكراً لأوجه الصرف على بعض أرباب الوظائف بها، أو بالرباط، فقد ذكرت الوثيقة أنه يشتمل على عدة خلاوي تبلغ أربعة وأربعين خلوة علوية وسفلية تشتمل كل خلوة منها على باب، وداخل وأمام كل خلوة رحاب وفسحة يختص بها للرباط المذكور مطبخ ومطهرة وبير ماء معين.
الخان: تذكر الوثيقة أن هذا الخان كان يشتمل على تسع مساكن كاملة المنافع معدة للاستغلال.
الدارين: كانت توجد دارين إحداهما تعرف بالعزلة وتقع بخط باب المسجد الحرام المعروف قديما بباب بني سهم وحديثا بباب العمرة، والدار الأخرى فكانت تقع بخط السويقة.
المكان بالمسعي المعظم: أوردت الوثيقة وصفا تفصيليا لمنشآت هذا المكان.
