المستخلص: يدور محور هذا البحث حول إيضاح العلاقة بين مفهومي: (التخلق والقعود) ومشتقاتهما في ضوء استعمال القرآن الكريم لهما؛ إذ إن هذين المفهومين قد وصف بهما كل من المنافقين والأعراب وبعض المؤمنين الذين تخلفوا عن الخروج للغزو مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم - ونظراً إلى التقارب الكبير بينهما في المعنى.
ولما كان من غير المنطقي المساواة بين الذين تخلفوا عمداً بدون عذر، وبين الذين تخلفوا بعذر، فقد قام الباحث بإيجاد الفروق الدلالية بين المفهومين لإيضاح ما ورد لمخاطبة كل فريق من الفريقين (المتخلفين بدون عذر، والمتخلفون بعذر) من خلال حصر مشتقات كل مفهوم على حدة، وعدد مرات وروده في القرآن، ومعرفة الضمائم الإسنادية المرتبطة بكل صيغة، وعمل ذلك في مخططات بيانية. وللوصول إلى إيجاد الفروق الدلالية بينهما، ومعرفة علاقة العموم والخصوص بينهما، وهل يجوز وضع أحدهما مكان الآخر.
وقد استعان الباحث بالمنهج الوصفي كونه الأنسب لذلك.

The focus of this research is to clarify the relationship between the concepts of (falling behind and neglect) and their derivatives in the light of the use of the Koran for these two. These two concepts have been described by hypocrites, the villagers and some believers who have failed to go out with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) for war, because of the great convergence between them in meaning.
Since it makes no sense to equate those who deliberately stayed behind without an excuse and those who failed with a reason, the researcher found the semantic differences between the two concepts to clarify what was reported to address each of the two teams (those who fall behind without an excuse, and those who fall behind with an excuse) by limiting the derivatives of each concept separately, and the number of times it is mentioned in the Qur'an, and identifying the reference enclosures associated with each formula, and do this in diagrams in order to find the semantic differences between them, and to find out the relationship between the general and the particular, and whether it is permissible to place one in the place of the other.
The researcher used the descriptive method as the most suitable for this.
