This paper represents a cross-examination of the phenomenon of salience in linguistics and its relevance in certain linguistic and enunciative operations such as thematization and rhematization in languages. We propose at the outset to introduce the main points of the theory of salience, proposed by Landragin (2004 and 2006), in which he distinguishes between physical salience (P-saliency) and cognitive salience (C-saliency); then we will try to show that the operations of thematization and rhematization present cases of referential projections using all the cognitive-referential and physical means for purposes of contrast and enhancement. Le présent article se veut un regard croisé sur le phénomène de saillance en linguistique et sa pertinence dans certaines opérations linguistiques et énonciatives telles que la thématisation et la rhématisation dans les langues. Nous nous proposons, dans un premier moment, de présenter les points essentiels de la théorie de saillance, proposés par Landragin (2004 et 2006), et qui distingue entre saillance physique (P-saillance) et saillance cognitive (C-saillance); puis nous essayerons de montrer la corrélation entre les procédés et moyens mis en oeuvre dans les opérations de thématisation et de rhématisation et le caractère de saillance référentiel usant de tous les moyens cognitifs-référentiels et physiques pour des fins de contraste et de mise en valeur dans le processus dynamique d’interprétation, d’ancrage et de validation des inférences. |
