تناولت الدراسة موضوع الأمن الفكري من خلال تحديد دور المكتبات العامة بوصفها واحدة من مؤسسات المجتمع الثقافية والتربوية التي يمكن أن تسهم بفاعلية في تحقيق الأمن الفكري لدى الشباب والحد من الانفلات الفكري لهذه الفئة، وقد تمثلت مشكلة الدراسة في المحاولة الجادة لردم الفجوة القائمة بين المكتبات ومؤسسات المجتمع المدني الأخرى من حيث الفهم والإدراك والإحاطة، وما تعانيه المكتبات من انعزال وإقصاء وقصور عن أداء أدوارها المنوط بها في هذا الجانب. هذا بالرغم من امتلاكها لكل المقومات التي تؤكد أهمية دورها في مجتمع المعلومات الذي اتسم بالتغييرات التكنولوجية في كافة مجالاته وقطاعاته، هذا وقد هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على دور المكتبات في تحقيق الأمن الفكري في المجتمع. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوثائقي لمعالجة الموضوع، موظفة في ذلك أداة الاطلاع للرجوع إلى الكتابات التي نشرت حول هذا الموضوع. ومن أبرز نتائج الدراسة: - إن أهداف المكتبات العامة على تؤكد مدى إسهامها في التنمية الفكرية والثقافية في المجتمع. - رغم أهمية المكتبات العامة ودورها الفاعل في نشر الوعي الثقافي والفكري إلا أنها ما زالت قاصرة عن القيام بأدوارها بفاعلية. بناء على ما سبق من نتائج أوصت الدراسة ببعض التوصيات كمحاولة للإسهام في تعزيز دور المكتبات كغيرها من مؤسسات المجتمع التعليمية والتربوية الأخرى التي يجب أن تتحمل هذه المسئولية ويجب أن تولى الاهتمام اللازم حتى تحقق أهدافها المرسومة. تتمثل في التالي:- - يجب على المكتبات والمكتبات العامة على وجه الخصوص التعامل مع فئة الشباب بوعي ومسئولية، لتعزيز قيم المواطنة والولاء والتماسك. وتفعيل أنشطتها الثقافية التي تسهم بفاعلية في درء الأفكار السالبة والمنحرفة لدى الشباب. - على المكتبات – بلا استثناء – استحداث أساليب وطرق حديثة لتقديم خدماتها تتمكن من خلاله استقطاب أكبر قدر من الشباب للاستفادة من مصادرها وأنشطتها الثقافية التي تطرحها.
the study seeks to examine the role of Publıc libraries, as cultural and educational social institutions, in contributing to the achievement of intellectual security and reducing intellectual breakdown among Sudanese youths, taking into consideration that it is the group which is most vulnerable to the ideologies which target their minds with destructive thoughts. The problem of the study consists in the dedicated attempt to bridge the gap between libraries and the other institutions of civil society in terms of comprehension, recognition and briefing. Furthermore, the study sought to shed light on the seclusion and exclusion suffered by libraries in playing their expected roles in this respect, in spite of their tremendous capabilities and potentials. The study aimed to know the role of libraries in achieving intellectual security in the society. The documentary method was adopted in tackling the topic, employing reading as the basic instrument for collecting the required information from the relevant texts. The study obtained several important results, the most prominent of which are: the general objectives of libraries assert their important role in the intellectual and cultural development of the society. despite the important role libraries are to play in raising intellectual and cultural development in the society, they are still lacking in terms of undertaking their roles effectively. from what has been analyzed about the roles and objectives of libraries, it could Based on the obtained results, some recommendations were proposed in this study as an attempt to reinforce the role of libraries, like other educational institutions of the society, in bearing their responsibilities and paying more attention to fulfilling their set objectives. These recommendations include: libraries in general, and public libraries in particular, should deal with youths with more awareness and responsibility, so as to strengthen the values of citizenship, loyalty and integration. They should also activate their cultural programs which contribute in protecting youths against negative thoughts. all libraries without exception should introduce new methods for offering services so as to attract a large number of youths who could benefit from the sources and cultural activities presented by these libraries.
