المستخلص: لقد صاحب الانتشار الهائل والمخيف أيضاً للمعلومات المتاحة على مواقع الويب والمتداولة عبر شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي باختلاف أشكالها بصورة يصعب تخيلها، مجموعة عظيمة من الهواجس، التي وجب الوقوف عندها تقديراً لما يمكن أن تمثله تداعياتها من مخاوف تصل لحد القلق على مستقبلنا جميعاً، خاصة مستقبل ابناءنا الصغار وطلابنا الناشئين كوننا أباء ومعلمين. من هذه الهواجس العظيمة، ظاهرة، إن لم تكن واقعة بالفعل، وهي الإشاعات الإلكترونية. لقد ساعدت بيئة الويب ووسائل التواصل الاجتماعي في نمو هذه الظاهرة نمواً ملحوظاً وفي تناقلها نقلاً يصعب تتبعه أو حتى الوقوف عنده، إذ إننا لا نكاد نفيق من إشاعة، حتى نصاب بأخرى، وهكذا نمضي في تلك الإشاعات التي قد يعيينا التفكير فيها وفي تداعياتها.
في هذا البحث، يسعى الباحث إلى معرفة وعي وثقافة المجتمع الأكاديمي الكويتي معلوماتياً من خلال دراسة مدى تأثر هذا المجتمع بالإشاعة الإلكترونية. وسوف يستخدم الباحث منهج دراسة الحالة وسوف يعتمد على أسلوب الملاحظة في جمع البيانات من خلال طريقة مبتكرة وجديدة في دراسة الثقافة المعلوماتية لدى العينة المشاركة والتي سوف تكون في بيئة إلكترونية بحته، وهي عن طريق عمل قروب على الواتساب يضم عدد كبير يصل إلى أكثر من 200 مشترك (عينة البحث) جميعهم أكاديميين في جامعات ومؤسسات أكاديمية مختلفة بدولة الكويت ومن خلاله يتم إرسال بعض الشائعات المتداولة عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، حيث يتم ملاحظة وتدوين ردود الأفعال من قبل المشاركين بالبحث دون العلم بمشاركتهم، علماً بأن الباحث سيعتمد على السرية التامة للمشاركين في البحث. وسوف يعتمد الباحث على أسلوب الترميز لتحليل البيانات المتعلقة بالملاحظة، ويعتقد الباحث أن نتائج هذه الدراسة سوف تساهم بشكل كبير في وضع توصيات قد تساهم في الحد من نسبة الإشاعة الإلكترونية وتساهم أيضاً في زيادة الثقافة المعلوماتية في دولة الكويت بشكل خاص والوطن العربي بشكل عام.

The massive and frightening spread of information available on websites and circulating through social networks in all its forms in a way that is hard to imagine, has been accompanied by a great set of concerns, which must be taken into account in recognition of what its implications may represent reaching to the level of concern for the future of all of us, especially the future of our young children and young students, we as being parents and teachers. One of these great concerns is a phenomenon, if not reality, that is electronic gossip. The web environment and social media have helped to grow this phenomenon significantly and to spread it in a way that is difficult to track or even stand up to it, as we are barely waking up from one rumor, until we get another, and thus we proceed with these rumors that might be necessary to think about and their repercussions.
In this research, the researcher seeks to learn the awareness and culture of the Kuwaiti academic community informally by studying the extent to which this society is affected by electronic rumor. The researcher will use the case-study methodology and will rely on the observation method in collecting data through an innovative and new method of studying the information culture of the participating sample, which will be in a purely electronic environment.Through the work of a group on WhatsApp with a number of more than 200 participants (research sample), all of whom are academics in different universities and academic institutions in Kuwait, through which some social media rumors are circulated, and feedback is noted and written by research participants without the knowledge of their participation. The researcher will respect the strict confidentiality of the participants in the research. The researcher will rely on the coding method to analyze the data related to the observation, and he believes that the results of this study will contribute significantly to the formulation of recommendations that may reduce the rate of electronic rumor and also help to increase information culture in Kuwait in particular and the Arab world in general.
