المستخلص: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن الدور المتجدد للأب في الطفولة المبكرة و علاقته بالصحة النفسية لدى الطفل من منظور علم النفس المعاصر.
هذا المنظور الجديد يريد أن يتجاوز الطرح القديم الذي ظل منشغلا بعلاقة الأم و طفلها بحجة أن الرضيع في هذه الفترة هو مجبول على التعلق بها و هو في حاجة ماسة أكثر إلى تفاعله معها و إلى عنايتها ليظفر بالتوازن العاطفي و يتجنب الحرمانات المخلة به. و هو في نفس الوقت يحصر دور الأب في دعم الأم ومساندتها و الاعتناء بطفله من خلالها .
و في المقابل يحاول التنظير الجديد أن يعيد الاعتبار لدور الأب في هذه المرحلة و يهتم بحضوره المبكر و بأهمية وظيفته الاجتماعية التي يؤديها إلى جانب الأم من أجل تلبية حاجيات الطفل بفضل جودة مشاركته الملائمة و الفعالة .هذه المشاركة التي تسهم في تزويد الطفل بكثير من المهارات و القدرات الضرورية لبناء شخصيته و لتشكيلته النفسية العاطفية بأبعادها المختلفة الحسية و الحركية و التعليمية والمعرفية التي تكسب الطفل كثيرا من الخصال و تصرفه عن كثير من الإخفاقات .

The study aims to address the renewed role of the father in relation to early childhood and its relationship with the psychological wellbeing of the child, from the perspective of contemporary psychology.
This new perspective intends to go beyond the old focus which remains preoccupied with the relationship of the mother with her child, based upon the argument that the infant during this period is innately shaped to be attached to her and that he is in dire of interaction with her and for her care and attention, to acquire emotional balance and avoid the deprivations of unbalance. At the same time, this focus restricts the role of the father to supporting the mother, assisting her and caring for his child through her.
In contrast, the new perspective attempts to restore regard to the role of the father during this stage and is concerned with his early presence and the importance of his social function, which he performs alongside the mother, to meet the needs of the child, as a result of the quality of his appropriate and effective participation. It is this participation which contributes to providing the child with many essential skills and capabilities for the development of his personality and his emotional psychological composition, with its various sensory, kinetic, educational and cognitive dimensions, which leads to the child acquiring many qualities and conducts, whilst keeping him away from many failures.
