|b The main objectives of this study are to. measure the competitive performance of Chinese and Egyptian exports, to identify export promotion policies in Egypt compared to China, and to draw lessons that Egypt should learn from China’s experience with export promotion. The study showed that China's competitiveness in international markets is high but Egypt’s capacity is low. The study concluded that what Egypt should learn from China’s experience is to give exporters discounts on VAT, establish export processing zones,, attract foreign direct investment, finance exports and market them in foreign markets.
