تعد الاتصالات من أهم الأنشطة الاقتصادية وأعلاها من حيث القيمة المضافة، وتشكل شبكة المعلومات الدولية «الإنترنت «Internet رافداً رئيساً من روافد جغرافية الاتصالات، كما أنها تعد أحدثها، خاصة المستخدمة من الهاتف المحمول، حيث تتميز بالانتشار الواسع والخصوصية والسرية في الاتصال، حيث تشير الإحصائيات إلى أن حوالى 27 مليون شخص يستخدمون الهاتف المحمول في الاتصال بشبكة الإنترنت من إجمالي 48 مليون مستخدم للإنترنت في مصر، لذلك بات وسيلة عامة يمتلكها الأفراد كافة من مختلف الفئات والمستويات. ويتخذ البحث مدينة دمنهور الواقعة في شمال غربي دلتا النيل وسط محافظة البحيرة مجالاً جغرافياً للدراسة، وتهدف الدراسة إلى تتبع تطور الإنترنت المحمول وأهميته بالمدينة، والتعرف على خصائص مستخدمي الإنترنت المحمول، وإلقاء الضوء إلقاء الضوء على توزيع حركة الاتصال بالإنترنت المحمول، وقياس كفاءة الاتصال ومستويات رضا المتصلين، إضافة إلى رصد الآثار المترتبة على اتصالات الإنترنت المحمول، وتحديد أهم مشكلاته. وتعتمد الدراسة على العمل الميداني لتعويض النقص في بعض البيانات، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة انتظمت خطتها في ثمانية عناصر رئيسة على النحو التالي: - تطور الإنترنت المحمول وأهميته. - استخدامات الإنترنت المحمول ومواعيده. - العوامل المؤثرة في اتصالات الإنترنت المحمول. - توزيع حركة الاتصال بالإنترنت المحمول. - خصائص شبكة الإنترنت المحمول. - كفاءة اتصالات الإنترنت المحمول ومستويات الرضا. - الآثار المترتبة على اتصالات الإنترنت المحمول. - مشكلات اتصالات الإنترنت المحمول.
Telecommunications is one of the most important economic activities and the highest value added. The Internet is a major source of communications geography and is the latest in mobile phones.
