يعنى هذا البحث برصد بعض من فنون البديع التي وشحت بها رسالة الصاهل والشاحج، وبخاصة (الألغاز والتورية، والسجع)، لتميز المعري فيهما ولنهجه منهجا مخالفا لما درج عليه كل من كتب بهذين الفنين البلاغيين، وسبب عنايتنا في هذين الفنين؛ لأن في الرسالة عالم خفي لا يسعه بحث، ناهيك عن احتوائها علوما عديدة من علوم اللسان العربي. وقد تصدرت الألغاز والتورية لغة الرسالة في جل مادتها القصصية ولاسيما في القسم الأول منها، ويلحظ متلقى الرسالة شغفا بهذا الفن من لدن المعري واللافت أن الألغاز يأتي بصور قصصية متجانسة إذ يلغز المبدع نصه، ومن بعد يفك معمياته بنفسه بأسلوب جميل ومشوق وعلى لسان شخصيات حيوانية. أما السجع في الرسالة فمزيته أنه جاء خاليا من التكلف والتعمل متلائما مع سياق حال النص الذي ينشؤه، كما يتميز سجع الرسالة بأنه يأتي بوتيرة متباينة ارتفاعا وخفوتا وبالعكس، وعليه نجد المعري ينتقد من بالغ بهذا الفن وحمله ما لا يطيق، بوساطة أسلوب القص.
The message of Al-Sahel and Al-Shahij is a story of narrative will be interrelated events, Al-Maari (the author) managed it on the tongues of beasts, and he made these beasts as a source of the events of the message. These animal figures are symbols of categories in the author community (Halab ‘Aleppo’ and cities surround it) it means social classes in the era of Al-Maari and every animal figure has a profound connotation. Those who read the message carefully realize that Al-Maari has worn the mule’s character mask (Al Shahij), it was distinguish from the rest characters of the message with certain marks to describe (Al-Shahij) with similar features to the character of Al-Maari such as blindness and residence in one place, as well as the capacity of this character and the advantage of conservation because it is blind does not see. The message as a whole is based on two things: the first superficial phenomenon and the second is profound and here is the intent of the author. This message is one of the long messages of Al-Maari such as (forgiveness, the message of angles and the chapters and the aims). The reason for authorship this message is that some supporters of the governor in Halab (Fatik al-Rumi), they give him a request includes that the share of the emirate is that the sons of the brethren of Al-Maari that the land should not be produced, this is reason for authorship the message, which seems to have hope for this governor, and the interior of the intention is different from the appearance, so it was the style of mysteries and assonance was one of the methods of Al-Maari to deliver his ideas of objectivity and artistic. Anybody looking at the book (History of Halab by Ibn al Adim) will find the credibility for events of the message in this historical manuscript. The author was interested in recalling the common meanings of the community, and employed to obey his text, the culture of the author contributed a great deal to recall the different meanings that correspond to the intent of the text, to know it is capacity of syllabus abundance that reduces the verbal redundancy that distracts the recipient’s mind . The research is interested in the monitoring of some of the arts of Al-Badi, which has been that characterized the message of Al-Sahel and Al Shahij, In particular: mysteries, metaphors and assonance, in which Al-Maari is distinguished in it, where he took a different approach to what was written from each of the writers in these rhetorical arts. The message is a comprehensive book for the majority of Arabic linguistics. The mysteries and metaphor were the language of the message in most of its narrative material, especially in the first section of it, and the reader observes a passion of this art by Al-Maari. The remarkable, that the mysteries come in homogenous stories, where the author put a puzzle in its text and then solve the puzzle by himself in a beautiful form and on the tongues of animal figures. The assonance in the message has advantage of being free from faked and preciosity and it is compatible with the context of the text that it is creating. The assonance of message is also characterized by varying frequency of high and low and vice versa.
