المستخلص: La politique du logement en Algérie s’est progressivement changée, en relation avec le déséquilibre financier enregistré à partir de 1986 et la demande des citoyens. Comme dans la plupart des pays en voie de développement, l’Algérie traverse une période de crise de logement, alimentée essentiellement par l’accélération du mouvement d’urbanisation ; La transformation de la structure familiale et les difficultés d’accessibilité pour certains segments du marché. Dans ce papier, on tentera d’analyser le marché du logement en Algérie, pour donner des éléments d’appréciation et de compréhension de la crise dans le secteur, à travers une analyse de l’évolution de l’offre et de la demande, des dépenses des ménages et de la situation du financement du secteur du logement.

Housing policy in Algeria has gradually changed, in relation with the financial imbalance recorded since 1986 and the demand of the citizens. As in most developing countries, Algeria is going through a housing crisis, fueled mainly by the acceleration of the urbanization movement; The transformation of the family structure and the accessibility difficulties for certain segments of the market. In this paper, we will try to analyze the housing market in Algeria to give elements of appreciation and understanding of the crisis in the sector, through an analysis of the evolution of supply and demand, household expenditure and the housing finance situation.
