المستخلص: As a result of increasing fears of terrorist threats to nuclear and radiological facilities and materials, the subject of nuclear security has received considerable international attention in recent years, particularly in the modernization of the International Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material and Facilities, the conclusion of the International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism, The obligation of States Parties to form competent bodies and authorities ,and the creation of a legislative framework for nuclear security functions, consistent with those agreements. In this context, Algeria has intensified international and regional cooperation in response to its obligations, in order to address all terrorist threats. It has also embarked on the legislative framework for the protection and safety of nuclear and radiological facilities and materials by issuing Presidential Decree No. 14/195 Which regulates nuclear security measures, and appoints the Atomic Energy Department as a nuclear security authority, assisted by a number of other bodies supporting the physical protection of nuclear materials and facilities and training in nuclear engineering.

نتيجة تزايد المخاوف من التهديدات الإرهابية للمنشئات والمواد النووية والإشعاعية حظي موضوع الأمن النووي باهتمام دولي كبير في السنوات الأخيرة، تجلى في تحديث اتفاقية الحماية المادية للمواد النووية، وإبرام الاتفاقية الدولية لقمع أعمال الإرهاب النووي، والتزام الدول الأطراف بتشكيل الهيئات والسلطات المختصة، وتهيئة الإطار التشريعي الخاص بالأمن النووي، بما ينسجم مع تلك الاتفاقيات. في هذا الإطار عملت الجزائر على تكثيف التعاون الدولي والإقليمي، استجابة لتعهداتها بموجب المعاهدات الدولية، وحرصا منها على التصدي لكافة التهديدات الإرهابية، كما شرعت في تهيئة الإطار التشريعي الضامن لحماية وسلامة المرافق والمواد النووية والإشعاعية، بصدور المرسوم الرئاسي رقم 14/ 195 المنظم لتدابير الأمن النووي، وتعيين محافظة الطاقة الذرية كسلطة مختصة بمهام الأمن النووي، يساعدها عدد من الهيئات الداعمة لإجراءات الحماية المادية والتكوين في الهندسة النووية.
