Issues related to woman rights are deemed to be great issues in the community, such rights are derived from the Islamic Sharia (Islamic Legislation) in which it is the first organizer of woman rights. The lawful right of the woman and her ability to gain it is one of the rights that must be given to woman in her society. The challenges and obstacles hindering the woman to be socially, economically and politically empowered in our country need more joint efforts to be eliminated as well as requiring more political and legal support plus activation of all international conventions and charters. All strategies including the national strategy of woman must be well applied, as the woman is considered the other half of the community and a main part of this humanitarian entity, as we are in a community where males are the main dominant, the woman has been encountered to deprivation of rights, infringement and racism that are all stand against the woman to acquire her lawful rights. This study aimed to introduce the concept of empowerment, the laws, rights, the legal rights of the Yemeni woman and the obstacles affecting the woman empowerment regarding her social, cultural, economic and political rights, this study focuses on a main topic which is as follows: There are so many obstacles affecting the woman empowerment for her social, cultural, economic and political rights.
أصبحت مسألة حقوق المرأة من المواضيع المهمة في المجتمع، وتعتبر هذه الحقوق نابعة من جوهر الشريعة الإسلامية، وتعد الشريعة الإسلامية هي الرائد الأول والمشرع المنظم لحقوق المرأة. ويعتبر الحق القانوني للمرأة وتمكنها من اكتسابه من أحد أهم الحقوق التي ينبغي أن تكتسبها في مجتمعها. ولا يزال القضاء على التحديات والمعوقات التي تحول بين المرأة وتمكينها اجتماعيا واقتصاديا وسياسيا في بلادنا يحتاج إلى كثير من الجهود، المشتركة، وإلى مزيد من الدعم السياسي والقانوني والتشريعي وإلى تفعيل الاتفاقيات والمواثيق الدولية، وتطبيق كافة الاستراتيجيات بما فيها الاستراتيجية الوطنية للمرأة، وبما أن المرأة هي نصف المجتمع وجزء أساسي من هذا الكيان الإنساني، وبما أن المجتمعات يغلب عليها الطابع الذكوري، فقد تعرضت المرأة لكثير من الهضم لحقوقها ويعض الانتهاكات والعنصرية نحوها، مما يستعصي عليها اكتساب الكثير من تلك الحقوق المشروعة لها، وقد هدف هذا البحث إلى التعرف إلى مفهوم التمكين، والقوانين، والحقوق، الحقوق القانونية للمرأة اليمنية، والمعوقات التي تؤثر على تمكين المرأة من حقوقها الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والثقافية والسياسية، ويناقش البحث تساؤلا رئيسيا وهو: وجود العديد من المعوقات التي تؤثر على تمكين المرأة من حقوقها الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والثقافية والسياسية.
