المستخلص: تتجه الدراسات الثقافية نحو مفهوم التمثيل باعتباره كاشفا لمضمرات الخطاب في النصوص الأدبية والفلسفية على السواء، وباعتباره مفهوما مضيئا لجملة من التصورات التي تحملها الذات عن الآخر والعالم، فقد اعتمدنا في دراستنا هذه على مفهوم التمثيل الثقافي عند الجاحظ لإبراز حضور ثنائية الأنا والأخر في الكتابة الجاحظية، وكيف تأسست على فكرة استحضار الآخر المهمش نحو مركز الخطاب؛ هذا الأخير الذي كان منذ زمن الجاحظ وإلى وقتنا هذا أحد وسائل التهميش الأكثر فعالية للآخر.

Les études culturelles sont orientées vers le concept de la représentation comme révélant des sous-textes du discours dans les textes littéraires et philosophiques les deux, et en tant que concept éclairant pour un certain nombre de conceptions portées par le soi sur l'autre et le monde, nous avons adopté dans cette étude sur le concept de la représentation culturelle chez Al-Jahiz pour mettre en évidence la présence du soi et l'autre dans les écrits d'Al-Jahiz, et comment elle a été fondée sur l'idée d'évoquer l'autre qui est marginalisée vers le centre du discours, ce dernier, qui était, depuis l'époque d'Al-Jahiz à nos jours, l'un des moyens les plus efficaces de la marginalisation de l'autre.

Cultural studies are directed towards the concept of representation as a discourse in both literary and philosophical texts, and as a light concept of a number of self-bearing perceptions of the other and the world. We have relied in this study on the concept of cultural representation for Al-Jahez to highlight the presence of the Ego and the other in Al-Jahezi's writing. And how it was founded on the idea of bringing the other marginalized to the centre of the discourse; the latter, which, from the time of Al Jahiz and to this time, has been one of the most effective ways of marginalization of the other.
