This study deals with the impact of bias in the use of Western concepts in Arab and Islamic societies by following the writings of Abdel Wahab Al-Messiri on bias and applying it to the concept of progress. The main problem of research is: How do concepts affect the formation of the cognitive model? Is conceptual bias a direct cause of dependency? How do we deal with the problem of bias? The study assumes that there is a correlation between the intellectual perceptions and developments of the researcher in the social and human sciences, and his understanding of bias and his awareness. The construction of a new science to deal with bias is the correct approach to address and solve this problem. And attempts to highlight the features of the jurisprudence of bias at Dr. Al-Messiri, and its methodology in building this new science, and its implications on the development of social sciences and humanism Arab Islamic, and evaluate his efforts in building Arab Islamic science of bias, and prospects opened by this science, It can free our nation from its conceptual and cognitive. subordination to Western concepts and sciences.
تتناول هذه الدراسة، أثر التحيز في استخدام المفاهيم الغربية في المجتمعات العربية الإسلامية، من خلال تتبع كتابات عبد الوهاب المسيري عن التحيز، مع التطبيق على مفهوم التقدم. فإشكالية البحث الرئيسية، هي: كيف تؤثر المفاهيم في تشكيل النموذج المعرفي؟ وهل التحيز المفاهيمي يعد سبباً مباشراً للتبعية؟ وكيف نتعامل مع إشكالية التحيز؟ وتفترض الدراسة، أن هناك ارتباطاً بين التصورات والتطورات الفكرية للباحث في العلوم الاجتماعية والإنسانية، وبين فهمه للتحيز وإدراكه. وأن بناء علم جديد للتعامل مع التحيز، هو المدخل الصحيح لتناول وحل هذه الإشكالية. وتحاول إبراز معالم فقه التحيز عند الدكتور المسيري، ومنهجه في بناء هذا العلم الجديد، وآثار ذلك على تطور العلوم الاجتماعية والإنسانية العربية الإسلامية، وتقييم جهوده في بناء علم عربي إسلامي للتحيز، والآفاق التي يفتحها هذا العلم، والجهود المطلوبة، ليصبح علم التحيز علماً حقيقياً، يمكنه أن يحرر أمتنا من تبعيتها المفاهيمية والإدراكية للمفاهيم والعلوم الغربية.
