|a يتناول البحث الذي بين أيدينا جانبا من سيرة مالك الاشتر (رضوان الله عليه) إذ حاول الباحثان تسليط الضوء على دور مالك في معركة اليرموك من خلال كتاب الاكتفاء في مغازي النبي والثلاثة الخلفاء، لمؤلفه أبي الربيع الكلاعي. الأندلسي المتوفى سنة (634ه/ 1236م) وقد ورد في الكتاب معلومات مهمة لم ترد عند غيره من المؤرخين أبرزت أهمية ذلك الدور في فتوح بلاد الشام، مما لم تشر له بعض المصادر التي تناولت الفتوح. ومن خلال تلك الإشارات تتجلى بعض ملامح البطولة والتضحية والقدرة في إدارة المعركة والتخطيط العسكري في شخصية مالك، مما أهله ليكون ابرز الرجال الذين اعتمد عليهم الإمام أمير المؤمنين علي (عليه السلام) في قيادة الجيش وإدارة الدولة في أيام خلافته

It is through these signals reflected some features of heroism and sacrifice and block in the battle administration and military planning in the personality of the owner , which qualified him to be the most prominent men who have adopted forward faithful peace be upon him in the leadership of the army and the State Administration.
