يعتبر حق الحصول على المعلومات من أقدس الحقوق وأهمها والتي تمثل الغذاء الروحي للإنسان، وتأسيسا على ذلك فقد تناول الباحث من خلال أخذه الدراسة مضامين هذا الحق وتنظيمه على المستوى الدولي والمحلي، إذ عنيت المواثيق الدولية منذ زمن بعيد بهذا الحق ورتبت له ضمانات كافية على عاتق الدول في مواضيع كثير مثل الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان، إلا أن هذا الحق قد لقي العديد من الصعوبات في التشريعات الأردنية في بادئ الأمر إلى أن وصل الحال إلى ما هو عليه الآن عندما استجاب المشرع الأردني أخيرا للمطالب الشعبية وأصدر قانون ضمان حق الحصول على المعلومات رقم (47) لسنة (2007). وقد توصل الباحث لمجموعة من النتائج، أهمها كثرة القيود الواردة على استعمال هذا الحق في التشريعات الأردنية، رغم انفراد المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية بوضع تشريع خاص للحق في الحصول على المعلومات. وقدم الباحث جملة من التوصيات كان من أهمها ضرورة إعادة النظر في التشريعات المنظمة لهذا الحق، والتخفيف من القيود المفروضة على الإفراج عن المعلومات.
