المستخلص: The university journals are considered as one of the means of vocative communication that concern with local communities to realize certain aims, and they are public specialized journals focus on a certain type of the content which is particularly a university's concerns. The main aim is determined for research is in knowing the content attitudes of university journals and to detect their relation with the university's audience. The study stems on the analytical descriptive method as well as the historical one. The study adopts from appropriate tools and literatures as a theoretical source as well as a form to analyze the content for a random regular sample from journal of University of Gezira through a year that constitutes the time setting of the study to sum its outputs via the statistical packages for social sciences program (SPSS), and, then, analyzing them and eliciting indicators that have benefit in obtaining the findings of the study. The main findings of the study reveal that the motives for receiving university's journals are vary and the first one is covering the university's news and they have what concern the audience of the university. The literary and cultural content come at the forefront of the content that the study sample seek to receive at the university journals. Then, the scientific and educational contents come second, then the sport and social, and, lastly the political and economical contents. The sample also revealed that it prefers receiving the news materials from the university's journals, then, the articles and the services materials. This is followed by journal investigations and caricature, and, lastly, the entertaining materials, adverts and talks. The recommendations focus on the necessity of the journal editors of University of Gezira in taking into consideration the balance in considering the arts of journal editing specially the investigation and journal art instead of concentrating on the news material and articles . Besides expanding the source of information scale to be taken as granted to deliver view points with taking into consideration, the university audience categories between students, managers and teachers. Also improving the space which is specialized to improve the university services and to pay attention to the image of the university journal and headlines and the styles of the direction attraction.

تعتبر الصحف الجامعية من وسائل الاتصال النوعية التي تهتم بجماعات محلية لتحقيق أهداف معينة، وهي صحف متخصصة عامة تركز على نوع معين من المضمون وهو الخاص بالقضايا الجامعية، وتتوجه لجمهور خاص هو الجمهور الجامعي. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تقييم دور الصحف الجامعية، ويتحدد الهدف الرئيس للبحث في التعرف على اتجاهات مضمون الصحف الجامعية والكشف عن أبعاد علاقتها بالجمهور الجامعي. وترتكز الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي والمنهج التاريخي، وتتبنى من الأدوات والأدبيات الملائمة كمصادر نظرية للدراسة، وعلى استمارة تحليل المضمون لعينة عشوائية منتظمة من صحيفة جامعة الجزيرة خلال سنة تشكل إطار زمان الدراسة، ليتم رصد مخرجاتها بواسطة نظام البرمجة الإحصائية الاجتماعية (SPSS) ومن ثم تحليلها واستنباط مؤشرات تفيد في التوصل لنتائج الدراسة، وتظهر أهم نتائج الدراسة "أن دوافع تلقي الصحف الجامعية متعددة" وفى مقدمتها أنها تغطى أخبار الجامعة، وأن بها ما يهم الجمهور الجامعي. وأن المضمون الأدبي والثقافي يأتي في مقدمة المضامين التي تسعى عينة الدراسة لتلقيها في الصحف الجامعية، تليها المضامين العلمية والتعليمية، ثم الرياضية والاجتماعية وأخيرا المضامين السياسية والاقتصادية. كما أوضحت العينة أنها تفضل تلقي المواد الإخبارية في الصحف الجامعية ثم المقالات ومواد الخدمات، ويلي ذلك التحقيقات الصحفية والكاريكاتير، وأخيرا مواد التسلية والإعلانات والأحاديث وتركز التوصيات على ضرورة أن تلتزم هيئة تحرير صحيفة جامعة الجزيرة بمراعاة التوازن في الاهتمام بفنون التحرير الصحفي خاصة فن التحقيق والحديث الصحفي بدلا من التركيز على المواد الإخبارية والمقالات، أيضا وتوسيع نطاق مصادر المعلومات لضمان تقديم وجهات نظر متعددة مع الأخذ في الاعتبار تعدد فئات الجمهور الجامعي ما بين طلاب وإداريون وأساتذة زيادة المساحة المخصصة للخدمات الجامعية، والاهتمام بعنصر الصورة الصحفية والعناوين وأساليب الجذب الإخراجي.
