|a هدف البحث إلى معرفة تأثير تطابق أو سوء تطابق الأسنان في التكيف الاجتماعي. تكونت عينة البحث من (234) طالبا وطالبة من جامعة عمان الأهلية، (95) طالبا و(139) طالبة. اتصف (132) منهم بتطابق الأسنان و(102) منهم بسوء تطابق الأسنان. تطلب البحث تطوير استبيان للتكيف الاجتماعي. طبق الاستبيان على العينة المذكورة بعد التحقق من صدقه وثباته. توصلت النتائج إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في التكيف الاجتماعي ولصالح فئة تطابق الأسنان بينما لم تكن هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الذكور والإناث. كما أظهرت النتائج أن جميع أفرد العينة كانت متكيفة اجتماعية بدرجات مختلفة.

|b The study aimed at investigating the effect of occlusion and malocclusion on social adaptation. The research population consisted of (234) students(95 males and 139 female) in Alahliyya Amman University,(132) with occlusion and (102) with malocclusion. A questionnaire for social adaptation was built and applied, after its validity and reliability were verified, T test was used. The research revealed the following results: - There were significant differences at the level of a ≤ 0.05 on social adaptation in favourite of students with occlusion. - There were no significant differences at the level of a ≤ 0.05 on social adaptation according to gender.
