|a لقد بذلت دولة المرابطين قصارى جهدها في تثبيت الإسلام في منطقة الغرب الإسلامي، وتأخير أفوله عن الأندلس قرابة أربعة قرون، كما ساهمت في بناء وحدته الفكرية والمذهبية، وجنبته الصراعات الطائفية والمذهبية، وقد سلكت في سبيل تحقيق أهدافها مسالك حاولت فيها تمثل أخلاق ومبادئ وتسامح الإسلام، والمحافظة على الحريات الفردية والجماعية ضمن توجه الدولة العام، فأعطت هامشا كبيرا للحرية السياسية وحرية التعبير، وحرية الاعتقاد والفكر وحرية المذهب على مستوى الأفراد، مراعية بذلك الظروف المحلية والإقليمية والعالمية التي تمر بها الأمة الإسلامية آنذاك .

|b The Almoravid State has made its utmost efforts to establish Islam in the area of Islamic West and the delay of its departure from Andalusia for nearly four centuries. Moreover, it has contributed to constructing its intellectual and sectarian unity. In order to achieve its objectives, the Almoravid State has pursued different ways to represent the ethics, principles and tolerance of Islam and maintaining both individual and collective liberties within the general state direction. Therefore, it has given a great margin for political freedom, and freedom of expression, freedom of belief, thought and freedom of religion at the individual level taking into consideration the local, regional and global conditions experienced by the Islamic nation at that time.
