|a تناول هذا البحث دراسة سيرة ذاتية فريدة من نوعها، وهي سيرة سالمة بنت سعيد بن سلطان، التي نشرتها في القرن التاسع عشر وضمنتها اعترافات خطيرة، فكانت من أقدم الاعترافات النسوية التي تكتبها امرأة عربية، وقد كانت دوافعها لكتابة السيرة تنقسم إلى دوافع نفسية، واجتماعية وسياسية. وبينت الدراسة أن سيرة سالمة هي سيرة ذاتية تاريخية، عنيت فيها الكاتبة عناية خاصة بوصف الأماكن، كما اهتمت بالمقارنة بين الشرق والغرب، وظهر تفضيلها للشرق غالباً، ورغم ذلك فإن حياتها في الشرق لم تخل من الإحساس بالاغتراب، الذي شعرت به أيضاً وهي تعيش في الغرب..

|b This study tackles a unique autobiography, that of Salima bint Sa'eed bin Sultan which was published in the 19th century and included daring confessions. This made it one of the earliest feminist confessions written by an Arab woman. The study reveals that this autobiography was motivated by psychological, social, and political factors. The study also shows that the autobiography of Salima is basically historical as the writer took special interest in describing places and comparing the East and the West, showing a general preference for the East. Despite this, the writer's life in the East was not free from feelings of estrangement, which she also felt when she was living in the West.
