المستخلص: An analytical evaluation study of the use of transitive and intransitive verb in the lower middle level tests at the Higher Institute of Languages, Damascus University This research aims to answer the question: What is the extent to which foreign students are able to use the transitive and intransitive verb in the lower middle level tests at the University of Damascus at the Higher Institute of Languages? It also aims to answer other questions such as the nature of transitive and intransitive verbs and the different types of each and the divisions of each. It also aims to conduct an analysis of some of the test models to identify errors, to collect them, to know the correct uses and to clarify the rule of each of the verbs. After this study, the content of these tests must be verified. The researcher also made analytical tool for the lower middle level tests to check and analyze all the things mentioned above. To achieve the research objectives and answer his questions, the researcher will rely on the following: 1 - Previous studies to determine the theoretical framework related to the dimensions of the study 2 - Build analytical tool to analyze the content of the answers of the lower middle level tests reviewed and revised by the supervisor. 3 - Conducting statistics of the transitive and intransitive verb and clarifying the right and the wrong and the rule of each 4 - Collecting the possible results in the research 5. Develop new proposals to improve the use of the transitive and intransitive verb correctly.

يهدف هذا البحث إلى الإجابة عن تساؤل: ما مدي قدرة الطالب الأجنبي على استعمال الفعل اللازم والمتعدي بشكل صحيح في اختبارات المستوي المتوسط الأوسط بجامعة دمشق في المعهد العالي للغات؟ كما يهدف للإجابة عن تساؤلات أخرى: كماهية الفعلين اللازم والمتعدي، وأنواع كلّ منهما، وتقسيمات كلّ منهما. ويهدف أيضا إلى إجراء تحليل لبعض النماذج الامتحانية لمعرفة الأخطاء وإحصائها ومعرفة الاستعمالات الصحيحة، وبيان قاعدة كل فعل من هذه الأفعال التي أجريت عليها الدراسة، وبعد هذه الدراسة لا بد أن يتبين هدف المحتوي لهذه الاختبارات. ووضع الباحث أداة تحليل لاختبارات المستوي المتوسط الأوسط لمعرفة كل الأمور التي ذكرت أعلاه. ولتحقيق أهداف البحث، والإجابة عن أسئلته، سيعتمد الباحث على ما يلي: 1-الدراسات السابقة لتحديد الإطار النظري المرتبط بأبعاد الدراسة. 2-بني الباحث أداة تحليل، لتحليل محتوي إجابات اختبارات المستوي المتوسط الأدنى محكمة من الدكتور المشرف. 3-إجراء إحصاءات للأفعال اللازمة والمتعدية وبيان الصح والخطأ فيها وقاعدة كل منهما. 4-جمع النتائج الممكنة في البحث. 5-وضع مقترحات جديدة لتحسين عملية استعمال الفعل اللازم والمتعدي بشكليهما الصحيحين.
