انطلقت هذه الدراسة من هدف رئيس يتمثل في دراسة وتحليل تأثير المحددات الاجتماعية على السلوك الإنجابي للمرأة الريفية بمحافظة كفر الشيخ، وفرضين هما الأول: توجد علاقة ارتباطية بين السلوك الانجابي للزوجات الريفيات كمتغير تابع، وبين المحددات الاجتماعية للسلوك الانجابي للمرأة الريفية. أما الفرض الثاني: يسم كل متغير مستقل من المتغيرات "المحددات الاجتماعية" إسهاماً معنوياً فريداً في تفسير جزء من التباين في درجات المتغير التابع (السلوك الانجابي للزوجات الريفيات). ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة استعانت الباحثة بالأساليب المنهجية التالية انطلاقا من مبدأ المرونة المنهجية: أ- المنهج الوصفي التحليلي: استعانت بالمنهج الوصفي التحليلي بطريقة المسح الاجتماعي بالعينة للوصول إلى وحدات المعاينة، كما تم وضع مجموعة من الفروض التي تربط بين السلوك الانجابي للزوجات الريفيات، وبين المحددات الاجتماعية له. ب- المنهج الإحصائي: من خلال الاستعانة بعدد من الأساليب الإحصائية لعرض واختبار فروض الدراسة وتحليل نتائجها. واعتمدت الدراسة في جمع البيانات بصورة أساسية على استمارة المقابلة المقننة، وتم تطبيق الدراسة على عينة عشوائية منتظمة من بعض الزوجات الريفيات بمحافظة كفر الشيخ قوامها (136) مفردة. وكان من أهم نتائج الدراسة أن ثمة تعدد وتباين في المحددات الاجتماعية التي تؤثر في السلوك الانجابي في المرأة الريفية، والتي لها تأثير على سلوكهم بشكل أساسي وتحديد نمط وأسلوب حياتهم، تتمثل أهمها في طول فترة الزواج، تعليم المرأة، استخدامها لوسائل تنظيم الأسرة، مدى قيمة المولود الذكر، الوعي بقضية تنظيم الأسرة، الرغبة في انجاب مزيد من الأطفال، مستوى المعيشة، الوعي بالصحة الانجابي، كما توجد علاقة ارتباطية بين السلوك الانجابي للزوجات الريفيات كمتغير تابع، وبين المحددات الاجتماعية للسلوك الانجابي للمرأة الريفية. هذا وقد اقترحت الدراسة عددا من التوصيات في ضوء ما أسفرت عنه من نتائج.

One of the most important findings of the study that there is a multiplicity and divergence of social determinants that affect the reproductive behavior in rural women, and that have an impact on their behavior fundamentally and select a style and way of life, is the most important in the length of the marriage, women's education, use of family planning methods, how valuable born male, awareness about the issue of family planning, a desire to have more children, standard of living, awareness of reproductive health, as no correlation between the reproductive behavior of rural wives as the dependent variable, and the social determinants of reproductive behavior of rural women. This study has proposed a number of recommendations in the light of the outcome of the results.
