شهد الدينار الجزائري انزلاقا معتبرا، حيث سجل مستويات قياسية لم تمر بها الجزائر من قبل، ولا تقتصر تداعيات تهاوي العملة على المواطنين بل تتعدى ذلك إلى الشركات التجارية المنتجة والمستوردة للمواد الأولية أو المنتوجات الأخرى الموجه خاصة للتصدير.
وقد تم تفعيل جملة من الإجراءات ومن أهم التدابير الذي تم اعتمادها تتمثل دخول نظام الترخيصات في مجال الاستيراد والتصدير، ما يسمى بالكوطة المسموح به.
