المستخلص: إن الفن المصري القديم تراث زاخر متميز ومتطور يجمع بين صفات الواقعية الدنيوية والعقائدية الدينية وتعتبر صناعة الأثاث من أهم الفنون التطبيقية بالحضارة المصرية القديمة حيث تحمل كما هائلا من الإبداع والدقة والتنوع والتطور مستخدما خامات متعددة وفقا لقوانين وفلسفة المصري القديم، وهذا البحث معني بدراسة نوع محدد من الأثاث المصري القديم وتقنياته وهو الأثاث المنطبق وذلك في محاولة لإحياء ذلك التراث المحلي الغني واستغلاله لفرض الهوية المصرية على منتج الأثاث المحلي بما يتلاءم مع متطلبات صغر المساحة بالمسكن المصري الحالي. مشكلة البحث؛ كيف يمكن استغلال التطور الذي حدث في تقنيات حرفة النجارة عند المصري القديم كحرفة تراثية وتوظيف ما نتج عنها من أنواع متطورة ومتنوعة من الأثاث المنطبق للحصول على منتج يحقق الهوية المصرية ويلبي احتياجات المستهلك المصري بما يتلاءم مع المتطلبات الحالية للمسكن ذو المساحة المحدودة. هدف البحث: يهدف البحث إلى تصميم أثاث معاصر مستوحى من التطور التقني للأثاث المنطبق في الحضارة المصرية القديمة للحصول على منتج يتلاءم مع المتطلبات الحالية للمسكن المصري ذو المساحة المحدودة ويحقق الهوية المصرية.

Ancient Egyptian art is a rich and distinguished heritage that combines the characteristics of secular and religious realism. The furniture industry is one of the most important applied arts in the ancient Egyptian civilization, where it carries a great deal of creativity, accuracy, diversity and development using various raw materials according to the ancient Egyptian laws and philosophy .This research is concerned with studying a specific type of old Egyptian furniture and techniques and the applicable furniture in an attempt to revive this rich heritage and exploitation to impose the Egyptian identity on the local furniture product in accordance with the requirements of small space in the current Egyptian housing. The problem of research: How to exploit the development that took place in the techniques of carpentry in the ancient Egyptian as a heritage and the employment of the resulting from a variety of sophisticated and diverse furniture to obtain a product that achieves the Egyptian identity and meet the needs of the Egyptian consumer in accordance with the current requirements of housing with a specific area. The purpose of the research: The research aims to design contemporary furniture inspired by the technical development of furniture applicable in ancient Egyptian civilization to obtain a product that fits with the current requirements of the Egyptian housing with limited space and achieve the Egyptian identity.
