المستخلص: The purpose of this research which is described as ( ancestors’ understanding of the Quran in the light of the recent developments) is to reveal the validity of the ancestors’ method in understanding the Quranic expression* its importance and the continuation of its position in the light of scientific progress and technical development and to confirm that all types of interpretation projects through the history of Islam cannot diminish the status of understanding the Qur’an even if it was exceeded in some aspects. The Quran was revealed in their language* they are the masters of the field. They also witnessed the revelation of the Qur’an and took from the prophet or others. However, the status of our good ancestors does not necessarily mean the sanctification of their understanding and words. (May Allah be pleased with them). Therefore, the study will be brought to many applications that indicate the difference between them or even the lack of their understanding of the discoveries of the different stages of human maturity* which does not diminish their status. It does not challenge the value of their views in the context of understanding of the Quran; left much the former to the later. The study was concluded with a number of important results and recommendations. God bless.

هدف هذا البحث الموسوم ب (فهم السلف للقرآن في ضوء مستجدات العصر) إلى الكشف عن صلاحية منهج السلف في فهم التعبير القرآني، وأهميته واستمرار مكانته في ظل التقدم العلمي والإنجازات التقنية، وإلى التأكيد على أن مشروعات التفسير عبر التاريخ الإسلامي بجميع أنواعها لا يمكنها أن تنقص من مكانة فهم السلف للقرآن الكريم حتى وإن تم تجاوزه في بعض الجوانب، فالقرآن نزل بلغتهم، وهم أرباب هذا الميدان وأساطينه، كما أنهم عاينوا التنزيل وأخذوا عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، أو عمن أخذ عنه. بيد أن مكانة سلفنا الصالح لا تعني ضرورة إضفاء صفة القداسة لفهومهم وأقوالهم، فهناك فرق كبير بين منزلتهم، وبين إيجاب فهمهم رضي اله عنهم أجمعين، لذا ستمثل الدراسة للعديد من التطبيقات الدالة على أن الاختلاف بينهم، أو حتى قصور فهمهم عن مكتشفات اقتضتها مراحل النضج البشري لا نقص من قدرهم ومقامهم، ولا يطعن قيمة آرائهم في سياق فهم القرآن الكريم، فكم ترك السابق للاحق. واختتمت الدراسة بعدد من النتائج والتوصيات المهمة، والله الموفق.
