المستخلص: Cet article porte sur l’examen de la relation entre le taux d’inflation et la croissance économique, pour vérifier à quel point l’inflation est nécessaire ou nuisible pour la croissance économique dans un échantillon de quatre pays du nord-africain au cours de la période 1960-2014. Grâce à l’usage d’un modèle dynamique à données de panel, et en utilisant la méthode des moments généralisés, on a fait une régression pour tester la relation des deux grandeurs économique de notre intérêt. Les résultats trouvés montrent l’existence d’une relation positive entre le taux d’inflation et le taux de croissance économique, avec une faible élasticité dans ces pays.

This article looks at the examination of the relationship between the inflation rate and economic growth, to check how much inflation is necessary or harmful to economic growth in a sample of four countries of the North African during the periode 1960-2014. Through the use of a dynamic panel data model, and using the method of generalized moments, we did a regression to test the economic relationship of the two sizes of our interest. The results show the existence of a positive relationship between the inflation rate and the rate of economic growth, with a low elasticity in these countries.

يهتم هذا المقال بدراسة العلاقة بين النمو الاقتصادي والتضخم لعينة من 4 دول من شمال أفريقيا: الجزائر، مصر، تونس، والمغرب خلال الفترة 1960-2014. تطرقنا في هذا المقال إلى الإطار النظري للعلاقة بين النمو الاقتصادي والتضخم مبرزين أهم الأعمال التي أنجزت في الموضوع. هدفنا الأساسي في هذه الدراسة هو معرفة ما إذا كانت مستويات معدلات التضخم في هذه الدول تدفع النمو الاقتصادي أم تعيقه. اتباعا لأغلب الدراسات التي تمت في هذا الموضوع، استعملنا نماذج بانيل الديناميكية لقياس العلاقة، والنتائج التي تحصلنا عليها في هذه الدراسة وجود علاقة إيجابية بين النمو والتضخم، بمرونة استجابة النمو لتغيرات التضخم ضعيفة إلى حد ما.
