|a اللغة ظاهرة إنسانية واجتماعية تخضع للتطور في أصواتها وتراكيبها ودلالاتها بتقدم الزمن، وقد أثيرت مسألة التطور اللغوي من قبل علماء اللغة المحدثين، إذ قلما نجد أحد علماء العربية الأقدمين يتطرق إلى ذلك، لانشغالهم بالمادة اللغوية في حد ذلتها جمعا وتفسيرا، ومن أوائل من فعل ذلك منهم (ابن السكيت)، وقد سار لبيان ذلك في مسالك عامة هي التطور بالتخصيص والتطور بالتعميم، والتطور بانتقال الدلالة، ويحاول هذا البحث وصف جهد هذا العالم الجليل في ذلك.

|b Language is a human and social phenomenon subject to the development of its voices and structures and their implications of the progress of time. The question of linguistic development was raised by the modem linguists, as one of the oldest Arab scholars rarely mentions this, because they are preoccupied with linguistic material. (Ibn al-Skeit), and went to show this in the general paths is the evolution of privatization and development of generalization, and the evolution of the transfer of significance, and this research attempts to describe the effort of this smart man in it.
