المستخلص: Concepts are not words like all other words. They are repositories of meanings. The semantics often go beyond the verbal structure and overstep the root to reflect the nation's philosophy and the accretion of its intellect and knowledge. The arena of religious discourse has a lot of concepts whose misunderstanding has led to two extremes, once leading to excessive inculcation that instils extremism and terrorism, and another to a carelessness that allows us to escape the provisions and rules of religion. Both are a threat to the nation in its present and future, because of the poor understanding calls for conflicts on doctrinal bases and gives way to the plans of the enemies and fall victim to them to undermine the nation, its unity, security, and stability. The reasons are different between subjective and extraneous since subjectivity include: Intolerance, self-isolation, weak Islamic culture, partisan or partial perception of texts, as well as distorted intellectual upbringing. As for extraneous, there are many such: heritage slips, intellectual invasion, weak official institutional discourse, and its inability to convince. As well as systematic and well-prepared plans to control Muslim minds by organizations, groups, and countries that work to implement preconceived goals and try to achieve them. There are many concepts in which understanding has been mixed and texts have been made to prove them, including jihad, the sect which achieves salvation, Al-wala' wa-l-bara (loyalty and disavowal), Judging someone as unbelievers, judging someone as a wicked person and apostasy. And other concepts that influenced the renaissance of the modern Islamic world and made its societies an arena for conflict and belligerence rather than peace and security. This makes it urgent to look for the reasons behind these errors in understanding these concepts.

إن المفاهيم ليست ألفاظاً كسائر الألفاظ، وإنما هي مستودعات للمعاني. والدلالات كثيراً ما تتجاوز البناء اللفظي وتتخطى الجذر لتعكس كوامن فلسفة الأمة ودفائن تراكمات فكرها ومعرفتها. وتحظى ساحة الخطاب الديني بالكثير من المفاهيم التي أدى سواء فهمها إلى طرفي نقيض، فمرة تؤدي إلى إفراط يغرس التشدد والتطرف والإرهاب، وأخرى إلى تفريط يفسح المجال للتفلت من أحكام الدين وقواعده. وكلاهما خطر على الأمة في حاضرها ومستقبلها؛ لما يدعو إليه الفهم السقيم من تنازع على أسس مذهبية ويفسح المجال لخطط الأعداء وحبائلهم كي تنال من الأمة ووحدتها وأمنها واستقرارها. وتتعدد الأسباب بين ذاتية وخارجية، فالذاتية منها: التعصب، والانغلاق على الذات، وضعف الثقافة الإسلامية الرشيدة، والنظرة الحزبية أو الجزئية للنصوص، وكذلك التنشئة الفكرية المشوهة. وأما الخارجية فكثيرة منها: المنزلقات التراثية، والغزو الفكري، وضعف الخطاب المؤسسي الرسمي وعدم قدرته على الإقناع، وكذلك الخطط الممنهجة والمعدة بإحكام للسيطرة على العقول المسلمة من قبل منظمات وجماعات ودول تعمل على تنفيذ أهداف معدة سلفاً وتسعى لتحقيقها. وتتعدد المفاهيم التي اختلط فيها الفهم وتم لي النصوص لإثباتها ومنها مفهوم الجهاد والفرقة الناجية والولاء والبراء والتكفير والتفسيق والردة.. وغيرها من المفاهيم التي أثرت على مسيرة النهضة للعالم الإسلامية في العصر الحديث، وجعلت مجتمعاته ساحة للتنازع والاحتراب بدلاً من أن يكون ساحة للسلم والأمان. مما يجعل الحاجة ملحة للبحث عن الأسباب وراء هذه الأخطاء في فهم تلك المفاهيم.
