|f The scholars divided into two groups about the ruling on calling by the blessed name “Muhammad” or the attribute of “the Messenger of Allah” (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) by the word “our master”. One group takes by the apparent meaning of the hadith of Abdullah ibn ash-Shikhkhir - may Allah be pleased with him - which stated: "The lord is Allah, the Blessed and Exalted". They see it necessary to act upon the apparent meaning of the text. It cannot be said, "our master" when mentioning the blessed name “Muhammad” or the phrase of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Perhaps, they are inclined to the rule "prohibition of what may lead to committing sins" that, in their opinion, is fulfilled by stopping from saying “our master”. Another group, perhaps representing the vast majority of Muslims, both special and common, does not see any reason why they should not add "our master" when mentioning the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in fact, they think it is a virtue instead. These people quoted as evidence many other ahadith, and many sayings of the prophet in which the word "our master" is mentioned when it mentioned him (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) by his name or his attribute, or by describing someone other than the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) who is below him in mastery. Their argument is that when it is permissible to add "our master" with someone other than the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), it is a more important part of the Messenger's right to be called "master." \nThe second group also does not call the blessed name “Muhammad” or the phrase of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the Adhaan (call for prayer), Iqaamah and prayer specifically, but they call him master in other places when mentioning his name (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) or his attribute.\nThe truth, which everyone must accept, is that the ahadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) do not conflict, so when two sayings of the prophet are received, each leads to a different ruling from the other, even if in the apparent. When it is necessary to try to combine and reconcile the sayings as far as possible, and to take into account the one which is said first and which is later, and to consider the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in what Muslim narrated from Buraidah, he said: The Messenger of Allah [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said: 'I used to forbid you to visit graves, but (now) visit them. So he abolished the ruling on the forbiddance of visiting graves and the hadith of restricting the meat of the sacrificial animals, where the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade it for a year, and then it was dissolved and that the reason is that people were adversely in need of food in that year. In other words, when they were not in need in the following year, it was allowed to stew meat, preserve it and use it when needed. So he abolished the ban and remove the restriction of meat. It is narrated from Salama bin Al-Aqua': The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Whoever has slaughtered a sacrifice should not keep anything of Its meat after three days." When it was the next year the people said, "O Allah's Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Shall we do as we did last year?" He said, ' Eat of it and feed off it to others and store of it for in that year the people were having a hard time and I wanted you to help (the needy). There are many examples, but the point is to make it clear.\nThis paper seeks to discuss and analyze the opinions of the two parties (one who allows saying "our master" and other who doesn't allow it), try to combine and reconcile them and come up with an acceptable opinion on adding master to the blessed name “Muhammad” and the phrase “Messenger of Allah” (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc 2018.
