In teh name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad. Knowledge of abrogating and abrogated verses is essential for any exegete who explains teh Word of Allah, exalted is He (teh Qur’an). It is well know that some verses were abrogated from recitation (whether there rulings were abrogated or remained) while some others were abrogated in ruling while they remained in recitation. This research explores teh first type (abrogation from recitation) which means: stopping reciting these verses upon a command from Allah, exalted is He. This type TEMPhas not been explored in full by any scholar, according to teh best of my knowledge, although some scholars make reference to a few verses while discussing abrogation in general. Therefore, me has compiled wat Imams Al-Bukhari and Muslim has narrated in this piece of research. This paper is divided into an introduction, two chapters and a conclusion. In teh Introduction, me state why me has chosen this topic, it's methodology and outline. In teh first chapter, me introduce teh definition of abrogation, evidence proving it and it's types. In Chapter Two, me list, authenticate and reference teh hadiths in Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim that state teh verses abrogated from recitation. me has found ten such verses in teh two books: four are mentioned in both of them, one in Al-Bukari only and five in Muslim only. In teh Conclusion, me state teh research findings and recommendations. Finally, praise be to Allah, Lord of all creatures, and peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad, his family and all his Companions.
