| 520 | |b This paper examines the relationship between firms ownership structure and financial performance as measured by Return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE) and Tobin's Q in Egypt, using a sample of fifty listed companies between 2003 and 2015. The main dimensions of the ownership structure are: Managerial Ownership, Government Ownership and Block Holders. Data was extracted from the annual reports of these companies and from available information on their websites. The study used regression as a tool of analysis. The results confirm a positive relationship between managerial and government ownership structure and financial performance. However, an insignificant relationship was found between government ownership and the firm performance of the firms under study. | ||
