The thematic criticism is one of the first critic’s approaches in the contemporary criticism; it’s among the post-structural approaches that were founded on the contemporary linguistic principles, and one of the approaches that tried in its various directions to correct the structural defects, especially the tyranny of form on the content, like stylistic and semeiotics criticism. But the subject in thematic criticism does not refer directly to content; it rather refers to a special term with distinctive connotations that establishes a conceptual and methodological structure. The specificity of this criticism is determined by borrowing a set of ideas and terminology from a range of human knowledge as psychology and sociology, linguistic knowledge as linguistics and structure, and from scientific knowledge as statistics and physics, in order to establish the conceptual level that constitutes the intellectual framework of the curriculum and the procedural level that establishes its applied framework , Through a chemical reaction in which various elements produce new concepts and procedures.
