المستخلص: يهدف البحث إلى الكشف عن العوامل الجغرافية المؤثرة في سير العمليات الجيومورفية ومدى تأثيرها في تشكيل سطح الأرض، وتحديد المظاهر الأرضية وتصنيفها، ومعرفة العوامل المكونة لها. تقع منطقة الدراسة ضمن إقليم السهل الرسوبي والهضبة الغربية، بين دائرتي عرض (٣٦ ٣١ –٥٧ ٣١) شمالا، وخطي طول (١٧ ٤٤ -34 44) شرقا، وتقدر مساحتها (٧٤٥) كم٢، وتقع إداريا ضمن محافظة النجف. يضم البحث، المشكلة والفرضية، وأهمية وأهداف البحث، وحدود منطقة الدراسة، وتضمن (المقومات الطبيعية المؤثرة على سير العمليات الجيومورفية)، وتمثل البنية الجيولوجية وما نتج عنها من صخور وترسبات في منطقة الدراسة، وعناصر المناخ القديم والحاضر، وما هو أثرها في تكوين الأشكال الأرضية، ومن ثم التعرف على الخصائص الهيدرولوجية متمثلة بالمياه السطحية والجوفية، ودراسة خصائص التربة فيها، فضلا عن النبات الطبيعي وخصائصه، وأشار إلى دور كل عامل من هذه العوامل في تكوين المظهر الأرضي لمنطقة الدراسة. كما ضم البحث (العمليات الجيومورفولوجية والأشكال الأرضية الناتجة عنها)، فقد شمل العمليات الجيومورفية والتي أثرت في تشكيل المظهر الأرضي لمنطقة الدراسة، فهناك عمليات التجوية سواء أكانت ميكانيكية أم كيمياوية، تنتشر في كافة منطقة الدراسة، ولكنها تسود في الهضبة الغربية، وهناك عمليات المياه السطحية والتي تسود في السهل الرسوبي لكونها حافات الهضبة الغربية والتي تكون حدودا غربية لمنطقة الدراسة هي مصبات للأنهار الوقتيه فيها لذا يكون عملها ترسيبيا أكثر من تعرويا، وهناك عمليات الرياح والتي تسود في الهضبة الغربية سواء كانت ترسيبي أم تعروية، وعمليات المياه الجوفية والتي تسود في الهضبة الغربية لتوافر المقومات التي تعمل فيها، وللإنسان دور بارز في تشكيل المظهر الأرضي سواء كان في السهل الرسوبي وبشكل سائد أو في الهضبة الغربية.

The research aims to reveal the geographical factors influencing the conduct of operations Djiomorvih and their impact on the formation of the earth's surface, and identify manifestations ground and classified, and know its constituent factors. The study area lies within the province of the alluvial plain and the western plateau, between latitudes (3631-5731) in the north, and longitudes (1744-3444) to the east, and the estimated area of 745 km 2, located administratively within the province of Najaf. Includes research, problem and hypothesis, and the importance of the goals of the research, and the boundaries of the study area, which includes (natural ingredient influencing the conduct of operations Djiomurfait, (and represents the geological structure and Mantj them from rocks and sediments in the study area, and the elements of the ancient climate and the present, and what is their impact on the formation of landforms, and then identify the hydrological characteristics represented by surface water and groundwater, and study the properties of the soil, as well as the natural plant and its characteristics, and pointed out the role of each of these factors in the formation of ground appearance of the study area. The study has (Operations geomorphological and landforms resulting from it, (it has included operations Djiomorvih which influenced the formation of Appearance Ground of the study area, there is weathering processes, whether mechanical or chemical, are spread in all the study area, but they prevail in the western plateau, there are processes of surface water which prevail in the alluvial plain of being the edges of the plateau Bank, which are limits west of the study area are the mouths of rivers temporary which therefore have its work Tersibia more than Taruya, there are operations wind which prevail in the western plateau, whether Trsepe or Taroah, and operations of underground water, which prevail in the western plateau the availability of ingredients in which it operates, and Ansan prominent role in the formation of ground appearance, whether in the alluvial plain and predominantly or in the western plateau.
