|a تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على صور من تلك المحن الخاصة بالمحدثين بعرض نبذة مختصرة عن المحدثين الذين كانت لهم محن والتلاءات في حياتهم بسبب وقوفهم بجانب الحق ودفاعهم عن عقيدتهم. وقد عرضت في ثنايا هذا البحث تعريفاً موجزاً بمعنى المحنة في اللغة والاصطلاح، ثم اشرت في عجالة إلى ذكر أسباب المحن وفوائدها، وبعد ذلك بدأت في تفاصيل المحن التي تعرض لها المحدثون من خلال تقسيمها بحسب ما ال إليه إمر أصحابها، فبدأت بذكر من أمتحن بالقتل أو السجن حتى الموت، ثم من امتحن بالسجن دون التعذيب، ثم من امتحن بالضرب والنفي أو أحدهما، ثم من امتحن بالضرب والنفي أو أحدهما، ثم من امتحن بالاختفاء هرباً من المنصب أو خوفاً من التعذيب، ثم من امتحن بتشويه السمعة، ثم من امتحن بالسجن والتعذيب والضرب، ثم جاءت الخاتمة: متضمنة أهم النتائج والتوصيات.

|b The purpose of this study is to shed light on the images of the tribulations of the modernists by presenting a brief summary of the modernists who have had trials and tribulations in their lives because they stand by the right and defend their faith.
