The current study aims at highlighting the role of the Ottoman Empire concerning the construction of the religious sites in Medina Munawarah using a combination of historical inductive and analytical method of the historical documents available both in Medina or in the archives of the Prime Minister in Istanbul. The study focuses on presenting the role played by the Ottoman Sultan Mahmoud II during his reign in the building of the Mosque of Qiba - the second important mosque in Madinah - and the details of the construction task and persons entrusted to carry out the mission of planning and implementing the project until its completion. The study consisted of a preface, two chapters and a conclusion. The preface dealt with the geographical location of Qiba Mosque and the development its construction since its first building during the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) until the end of the Mamluki era. As for the first chapter, the researcher devoted it to the historical events of the mosque construction before the reign of Sultan Mahmud II. The second chapter dealt with the main topic of the study, namely, the contribution of Sultan Mahmud II and his role in the construction of the Qiba Mosque. The construction process was supervised by the Sultan, as evidenced by historical documents, until the project came out in its beautiful form. The conclusion summarized the researcher's most important findings, and her recommendation for further studies on the renovation of the Qiba Mosque in the post-Sultan Mahmud II era, taking advantage of the historical documents available in the Ottoman archives and translating them into Arabic.
