المستخلص: This paper seeks to study the shortcomings of son of Makl AL Azeedi AL Muhalibi (644h) on AL Marri’s explanation (440h) in AL Mutanabis volume tilled with (AL Lami AL Azizi) in his book (the shortcomings of illustrators of AL Mutanabis volume). This research starts eith short introduction about the explanation of the volume and its critics . Then the research introduces the character of AL Muhalibi and his book of shortcoming .Next, it explosives the study of the shortcomings, diving thenm according to their nature . It also divides the shortcomings into linquistic ones explaining pronounciation and into other explaining the meaning of poetic lines and into grammatical, critical and eloquent explanation. After that, this research also attempts to study samples from these shortcomings and compare between the promises of AL Muhalbi in his introduction and what has been achieved in application . Finally, it ends by showing the results that the research has achieved through studing the shortcomings in particular and through studine both the shortcomings and AL Lami in general.

سعى هذا البحث إلى دراسة مأخذ ابن معقل الأزدي المهلبي"-644ه" على شرح أبي العلاء المعري "-445ه" ديوان المتنبي، الموسوم ب (اللامع العزيزي)، في كتابه (المآخذ على شراح ديوان المتنبي). بدأ البحث بمقدمة موجزة حول شروح الديوان ونقادها، ثم عرف بالمهلبي ومأخذه وكتاب اللامع المأخوذ عليه، ثم بدأ دراسته هذه المآخذ مقسما إياها تبعا لطبيعتها إلى مآخذ لغوية تخص شروح الألفاظ، ومآخذ على الشروح المعنوية، ومآخذ أخرى بلاغية ونقدية ونحوية، ثم حاول البحث بعد أن درس نماذج من هذه المآخذ أن يقارن بين وعود المهلبي في مقدمته وما أنجزه في التطبيق، ثم ختم بالنتائج التي توصل إليها من دراسته لهذه المآخذ خصوصا، ومن قراءة كتابي المأخذ واللامع على وجه العموم.
