هدفت هذه الدراسة للتعريف بالتحليل الموروفولوجي وتطبيقاته كأحد الأساليب النوعية المستخدمة في معالجة المشكلات الاجتماعية والإدارية والعمرانية المعقدة، والتي بدورها توظف قدرات التصور والخيال للباحث أو فريق العمل ضمن اطر علمية واضحة ومحددة لوضع عدد من الحلول البديلة للمشكلة. تناولت الدراسة من خلال التطبيق على مشكلة حوادث المرور داخل المدن الجوانب الأساسية لهذا الأسلوب، ممثلة بتوظيف طرائق التفكير الإبداعي والخلاق، لتوليد واجترار أفكار جديدة، إلى جانب استخدام أساليب التفكير الاستقرائي تارة Inductive Thinking، والتفكير القياسي أو الاستدلالي أو الاستتباطي Deductive Thinking تارة أخرى، سعيا لاستنباط المعرفة الجزئية من الكلية، ثم استقراء المعرفة الكلية من الجزئية، بمعنى آخر تبسيط المشكلة المعقدة من خلال تجزئتها، ثم تقديم معرفة جديدة من خلال إعادة تركيب أجزاء المشكلة لتصبح كلأ جديدا، أي إن هذا الأسلوب يحلل ثم يؤلف ويركب، ليقدم في النهاية عدة حلول للمشكلة، تتجسد في معرفة حسية أو حدسية لا تتعارض مع العقل بل تتكامل معه. خلصت الدراسة إلى إن هذا الأسلوب يمكن إن يساهم بشكل فعال في وضع حلول متعددة لكثير من المشكلات الاجتماعية والعمرانية والإدارية المعقدة المعاصرة، وذلك بدراسة أي مشكلة وفق منهج التحليل المنظومي أو العلمي الأصولي وبدون إن يختزلها أو يمارس عليها إي شكل من أشكال التحوير أو التغيير وبدون إن يسجنها في قفص الأرقام والمعادلات. من جانب آخر يمكن إن يساهم هذا النوع من الأساليب من خلال استخدامه وتطبيقه إلى تنمية الحس المنطقي والفلسفي وبالتالي تنمية مهارات وقدرات التفكير الإبداعي المفتوح والمرن بدلا من التفكير النمطي المقولب الذي ما زال البحث العلمي أسيرا له. \
This study presents the morphological method as one of several qualitative methodologies that can be applied to the treatment of complex social, administrative, and urban problems through prompting the researcher's or the task force's imaginative and creative capabilities within clear and well defined scientific parameters to devise several alternative solutions to the problem at hand. The study deals with the applications of the morphological approach to the problem of traffic accidents within cities. The key aspects of these applications are evinced in employing creative and innovative thinking processes and techniques to the generation of new ideas and to bringing out new solutions. The morphological method is applied alongside the other more standard inductive and deductive thinking methodologies in the endeavor to achieve an understanding of the constituent pants and specifics of the problem distinct from its overall general comprehension through rearranging and reassembling its composite piecemeal parts to construct a new approval that reveals fresh insights and views, in other words this morphological approach analyses, rearranges and reconstructs the piecemeal components of the problem to ultimately provide several possible solutions that emerge out of both a tangible and intuitional perception that complements the conventional rational view rather than conflicting with it. The study concluded that this technique can contribute effectively to the development of multiple solutions to many complex contemporary social, urban and administrative problems through their diagnosis by means of systemic or fundamental scientific analysis without reducing them, exercising any form of modification or change on them and without imprisoning them within a digital framework of numbers and equations, on the other hand this kind of analysis can also enhance the development of the sense of logic and deepen philosophical probing. As such it plays a role in developing the skills and capabilities of flexible creative thinking in place of the stereotyped thinking that continues to imprison scientific researches. \
