هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على درجة تصور رؤساء الأقسام الاكاديميين في جامعة اليرموك لتوافر عناصر إدارة الأزمات، وتعزف أثر متغيرات الجنس، والرتبة العلمية، ونوع الكلية في تصوراتهم. تكون مجتمع الدراسة من (44) رئيس قسم في جامعة اليرموك للعام الدراسي 2008-2009 م وقد مثل المجتمع عينة الدراسة، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم تطوير استبانه تكونت من (32) فقرة موزعة على خمسة مجالات، وبعد جمع البيانات وتحليلها باستخدام الإحصاءات الوصفية، وتحليل التباين الثلاثي، توصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج التالية. أن درجة تصور رؤساء الأقسام الاكاديميين في جامعة اليرموك لتوافر عناصر إدارة الأزمات جاءت بدرجة متوسطة على الأداة ككل، حيث جاء تصورهم لتوافر عناصر الأزمات وفق الترتيب التالي: احتل عنصر التعلم المرتبة الأولى وبدرجة تصور كبيرة، يليه عنصر احتواء الأضرار وبدرجة كبيرة، يليه عنصر استعادة النشاط وبدرجة متوسطة، ثم جاء عنصر الاستعداد والوقاية وبدرجة متوسطة، واحتل عنصر اكتشاف إشارات الإنذار المرتبة الأخيرة وبمتوسط حسابي متوسط. عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في درجة تصور رؤساء الأقسام الاكاديميين في جامعة اليرموك لتوافر عناصر إدارة الأزمات من وجهة نظرهم تعزى لمتغير الجنس، والرتبة العلمية، ونوع الكلية. هذا وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من التوصيات كان من أهمها: العمل على تعزيز عناصر إدارة الأزمات في الجامعة في جميع مراحل إدارة الأزمات وخاصة مرحلة اكتشاف إشارات الإنذار، والاستعداد والوقاية، وعقد دورات وبرامج تدريبية للعاملين في جامعة اليرموك في موضوع إدارة الأزمات الجامعية واطلاعهم على تجارب الجامعات الأخرى في هذا المجال
This study aimed at finding out the degree of department heads perception at Yarmouk University for the elements of crisis management, as well as finding out the statistical differences as perceived by the study sample due to due to college, gender (male/female), and academic rank. The study population of this study consisted of (44) department heads at Yarmouk University for the academic year 2008-2009, the study sample consisted of all the population study in Yarmouk University. To achieve the aims of this study a questionnaire was developed included (323) items distributed into five dimensions: the signal detection stage, the prevention- preparation stage, the containment-damage limitation stage, the recovery stage, and the learning stage. The study showed the following results: - The degree of department heads perception at Yarmouk Univesity for the elements of crisis management showed an average level. While the study domains achieved the following degree of perception as follows: the learning element domain came first with a high degree, followed by the containment-damage limitation element stage with a high degree, followed by the recovery element stage with an average degree, and the signal detection element stage with and average degree. - There were no statistical significant in the degree of department heads perception at Yarmouk University for the elements of crisis management as perceived by the study sample due to college, gender (male /female), and the academic rank. In the light of the study results the study reached a number of recommendation such as: - enhancing the elements of crisis management at Yarmouk University mainly at the stage of signal detection, the prevention-preparation stage, and the recovery stage. - Conducting training sessions and seminars for the Yarmouk University staff to acquaint them with the university crisis management, and to expose them with other universities experiences in such field
