المستخلص: The think tank concept got confused and was mixed up with similar group thinking techniques such as focus groups, mental excitement, and committees and conferences, etc. This necessitated addressing the concept of group thinking by presenting and clarifying because the understandable confusion came through the interpretation of the first syllable of the term, which is Tank. Many imagined that this syllable points to a container for the preservation or containment of liquids. Some graphic works even promoted this interpretation. Confusion also extended to the first syllable of the term (think), where the thinking concept in techniques based o Brain Storming and Focus Group were considered as the concept of Thinktank, and many thought that this technique, like similar techniques, is busy in ideation.
This study aims to demonstrate the importance of industrial designer's deep experience in adapting and employing group thinking techniques in supporting the concept of group thinking technology called Think Tank and provide evidence that industrial designer is able to be a positive actor in supporting those thought groups and making a real contribution to their activities as one of the experts who feed Think Tank systems as one of the expert systems with the specialized knowledge they need. It is operated and run by the man and meeting his desires and needs, around which all design activities are centered. The research concluded that the Arabic synonym for Think Tank came literally in the form of "thinking tracker." Through the study, we can temporarily call Think Tank the term "thinking groups" from the fact that its functioning depends on groups of specialists and experts. On the other hand, it can support a group of technologies based on teamwork, such as mental arousal, focus groups, etc. The study recommended that we should ensure that the concept and term of Think Tank continue to be evaluated and codified. It also recommended integrating Think Tank technology into the entire existing knowledge of industrial design, especially industrial designer education and learning programs. It also stressed the need to disseminate the culture and concept of Think Tank, the advantages, and the need to benefit from this technology in all areas of public and private life.

إلتبس مفهوم Think tank وخلط بينه وبين تقنيات التفكير الجماعي المشابهة مثل مجموعات التركيز والأثارة الذهنية وغيرها من اللجان والمؤتمرات. مما دعي إلى تناول مفهوم مجموعة التفكير بالعرض والإيضاح لأن التباس المفهوم قد جاء من خلال تفسير المقطع الأول من المصطلح وهو Tank فقد تصور الكثير أن هذا المقطع يشبر إلى وعاء الحفظ أو الاحتواء للسوائل حتى أن بعض الأعمال الجرافيكية روجت لهذا التفسير كما امتد اللبس إلى المقطع الأول من المصطلح (think) حيث انسحب مفهوم التفكير thinking في التقنيات القائمة Brain Storming و Focus Group على مفهوم Think tank وظن الكثير أن هذه التقنية مثل أخواتها منشغلة بتوليد إفكار جديدةIdeation.
استهدفت هذه الدراسة إظهار أهمية خبرة المصمم الصناعي العميقة في تطويع وتوظيف تقنيات التفكير الجماعي في دعم مفهوم تقنية التفكير الجماعي التي يطلق عليها Think Tank، وتقديم الأدلة على أن المصمم الصناعي قادر على أن يكون عنصرا فاعلا إيجابيا في دعم مجموعات التفكير تلك والمساهمة الحقيقية في أنشطتها كأحد الخبراء الذين يغذون منظومات Think Tank كأحد النظم الخبيرة بالمعرفة المتخصصة التي تحتاجها، حيث شغله الشاغل هو الأنسان وتلبية رغباته واحتياجاته الذي تتمركز حوله كل أنشطة التصميم. وتوصل البحث إلى أن المرادف العربي لمصطلح Think Tank جاء حرفيا على نحو "مجنزرة التفكير"، من خلال الدراسة يمكن مؤقتا - يمكن إن نطلق على Think Tank مصطلح "مجموعات التفكير" من واقع أن إدائها لوظائفها الذي يعتمد على مجموعات من المتخصصين والخبراء. من ناحية أخرى يمكن أن يدعم مجموعة التقنيات إلى تقوم على العمل الجماعي Group working مثل الأثارة الذهنية ومجموعات التركيز وغيرها. وقد أوصت الدراسة بضرورة العمل على التأكد من مواصلة تقييم وتقنين مفهوم ومصطلح Think Tank. كما أوصت بدمج تقنية Think Tank ضمن مجمل المعرفة القائمة للتصميم الصناعي وخاصة برامج تعليم وتعلم المصمم الصناعي. كما أكدت على ضرورة نشر ثقافة ومفهوم Think Tank ومميزات وضرورة الاستفادة من هذه التقنية في جميع مجالات الحياة العامة والخاصة.
