المستخلص: This article aims to study the extent of the contribution of the insurance sector to the development of the financial market in Algeria during the period 2000-2013. Insurance companies are considered one of the most important components of the financial sector in any country through the main role these companies play in the economic activity of these countries. In this context, the activity of financial intermediation of insurance companies is one of the most prominent aspects of employment at the level of financial markets, especially in the developed economies. They are institutions dat enjoy financial surpluses and can increase the efficiency and performance of financial markets.
The study provided an analysis of the level of development of insurance activity and the financial market in Algeria through an analysis of a set of indicators dat made it possible to measure there development and effectiveness during the study period.
The study also identified the causality of the relationship between the insurance sector and the stock market in Algeria and identified the variables in the insurance sector, effecting the functioning of the financial markets. The study concluded dat the insurance sector does not contribute to the development of the financial market in Algeria.

Cet article a pour objectif l’étude de la contribution du secteur des assurances dans le développement du marché financier en Algérie durant la période 2000-2013.
Les compagnies d’assurances sont considérées comme l’une des composantes les plus importantes du secteur financier, a travers le rôle que joues ces compagnies dans l’activité économique dans ces pays. Dans ce contexte apparaît 1’importance de 1’intermédiation financière des sociétés d’assurance qui représente l’une des activités les plus importantes sur les marchés financiers en particulier dans les pays développés.
L’étude a mis en évidence l’évolution de l’activité des assurances ainsi que l’évolution du marché financier en Algérie a travers l’analyse d’indicateurs qui ont permis de déterminer leur degré de performance durant cette période L’étude a aussi permis de définir la relation de causalité entre secteurs des assurances et marché financier et de déterminer les variables dans le secteur des assurances susceptibles d’influer sur l’activité du marché financier. L’étude a conclu que le secteur des assurances en Algérie ne contribue pas au développement du marché financier.

يهدف هذا المقال إلى دراسة مدى مساهمة قطاع التأمين في تنمية السوق المالي في الجزائر خلال الفترة 2000-2013 . إذ تعتبر شركات التأمين أحد أهم مكونات القطاع المالي في أية دولة، من خلال الدور الرئيسي الذي تلعبه هذه الشركات في النشاط الاقتصادي لهذه الدول، وفي هذا الإطار يعتبر نشاط الوساطة المالية لشركات التأمين من أبرز أوجه التوظيف على مستوى الأسواق المالية وبخاصة في الاقتصاديات المتطورة، فهي مؤسسات تتمتع بفوائض مالية وبإمكانها الرفع من كفاءة وأداء الأسواق المالية.
قدمت الدراسة تحليلا لمستوى تطور نشاط التأمين ونشاط السوق المالي في الجزائر من خلال تحليل مجموعة من المؤشرات سمحت بقياس تطورها ومستوى نجاعتها خلال فترة الدراسة.
كما حددت الدراسة سببية العلاقة بين قطاع التأمين وسوق الأوراق المالية في الجزائر وتحديد المتغيرات في قطاع التأمين المؤثرة على عمل الأسواق المالية، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن قطاع التأمينات لا يساهم في تنمية السوق المالي في الجزائر.
