المستخلص: The national identity of any people is formed from the set of cultural and civilizational features that dominate its people, and which distinguish it from the rest of the peoples of the world within comprehensive human surroundings. Fashion is one of the most important manifestations that reflect the civilized and cultural face of different peoples and that each category of society has its own costumes that determine their forms and their decorative and functional content. Evening costumes have their function and the time of their use, and considering women’s fashion from the material aspects, it has therefore been subjected to a rapid and clear change, which makes this change noticeable as it is usual when any social customs disappear and others appear.
As a result, women have used the latest fashion and products that are peculiar to their environment and history that carry strange contents and connotations and so that women in our society do not have to be confined to the international designs, nor should we wait for foreign designers to derive their lines from our heritage and civilization and then export them to us. This is where the research problem arises, which was determined as is it possible to utilize the characteristics of the Sumerian civilization in the designs of evening fashion for women in a way that is commensurate with modern life and the taste of the contemporary recipient?
The research aims to reveal the characteristics of the Sumerian civilization and what are its uniqueness, connotations and symbols, and try to apply them in evening fashion with the aim of emphasizing the Iraqi identity in contemporary fashion designs.
The research also identified women's clothing for evening fashion for the age groups from 20-40 years, as well as the characteristics of the Sumerian civilization to be used in evening fashion designs for 2018, based on the contemporary trend.
The current research included topics related to the characteristics of Sumerian fashion and modern Sumerian fashion, how they were, what are their characteristics, the materials and colors used, and the themes they comprise as well as history as a source for fashion design and how it is considered a rich treasure of vocabulary that can be employed in modern fashion designs.
After extracting a set of features and employing them in five designs of women’s fashion for evening wear through three-dimensional programs and producing them in the form of a virtual presentation, the structural relationships and organizational foundations were employed and with the features discovered through the analysis of samples, the most important results of the research were that the method adopted in the implementation of the fashion designs of the Sumerians is simple, devoid of any complexity and always linked to religious beliefs and wars.
The study also showed that the Sumerian civilization is rich in connotations and symbols that can be utilized in fashion designs, and that using civilized features in evening wear for women gives it flavor and gives it a sense of belonging to the recipient's environment. It is also emphasized that the process of pairing between what is ancient with value and what is modern with aesthetics makes it acceptable from a performative and aesthetic point of view.

تتشكل الهوية القومية لأي شعب من الشعوب من مجموعة السمات الثقافية والحضارية الغالبة على أفراده، والتي تميزه عن بقية شعوب العالم في إطار إنساني الجامع، تعد الأزياء من أهم المظاهر التي تعكس الوجه الحضاري والثقافي لمختلف الشعوب وأن لكل فئة من المجتمع لها أزياءها التي تحدد أشكالها ومضمونها التزييني والوظيفي فلازياء السهرة لها وظيفتها ووقت استخدامها، وباعتبار أن أزياء السيدات من الجوانب المادية فقد تعرضت بالتالي للتغير السريع والواضح مما يجعل هذا التغير ملحوظا كما هو المعتاد عند اختفاء أي العادات الاجتماعية وظهور غيرها.
ونتيجة لذلك استخدمت المرأة أحدث الأزياء والمنتجات الغريبة على بيئتها وتاريخها التي تحمل مضامين ومدلولات غريبة وحتى لا تصبح المرأة في مجتمعنا أسيرة التصميمات العالمية كما لا يجب أن ننتظر من المصممين الأجانب أن يستمدوا خطوطهم من تراثنا وحضارتنا ثم يصدروها لنا ومن هنا جاءت مشكلة البحث والتي تحددت على إنها هل من الممكن توظيف سمات الحضارة السومرية في تصاميم أزياء سهرة للسيدات وبشكل يتناسب مع الحياة الحديثة وذوق المتلقي المعاصر؟
ويهدف البحث إلى الكشف عن سمات الحضارة السومرية وما هي مفرداتها ودلالاتها ورموزها ومحاولة توظيفها في أزياء سهرة بهدف التأكيد على الهوية العراقية في تصاميم الأزياء المعاصرة.
كما حدد البحث الملابس السيدات لأزياء السهرة للفئات العمرية من 20- 40 سنة كما حددت سمات الحضارة السومرية لتوظيفها في تصاميم أزياء السهرة لعام 2018 وانطلاقا الاتجاه المعاصر.
تضمن البحث الحالي المواضيع التي تخص صفات الأزياء السومرية والأزياء السومرية الحديثة وكيف كانت وما هي سماتها والخامات والألوان المستخدمة والمواضيع التي تتضمنها وكذلك التاريخ كمصدر لتصميم الأزياء وكيف أنها تعتبر كنزاً غنياً بالمفردات التي يمكن توظيفها في تصاميم الأزياء الحديثة.
وبعد استقاء مجموعة من السمات وتوظيفها بخمسة من تصاميم أزياء المرأة لملابس السهرة من خلال برامج ثلاثية الأبعاد وإنتاجها على شكل عرض افتراضي وتم توظيف العلاقات البنائية والأسس التنظيمية ومع السمات المكتشفة من خلال تحليل العينات كانت أهم نتائج البحث إن الأسلوب المعتمد في تنفيذ تصاميم الأزياء عند السومرين هو البسيط الخالي من أي تعقيد ومرتبط دائم بالمعتقدات الدينية والحروب. كما أظهرت الدراسة أن الحضارة السومرية غنية بالدلالات والرموز التي يمكن توظيفها في تصاميم الأزياء وأن توظيف السمات الحضارية في ملابس السهرة للسيدات تعطيها نكهة وتمنحها الإحساس بانتماء إلى بيئة المتلقي. كما أكدت أن عملية التزاوج بين ما هو قديم ذو قيمة وما هو حديث ذو جمالية تجعله مقبول من الناحية الأدائية والجمالية.
