المستخلص: Writing about poetry in Mosul means exploring the vivid history present renewable innovation. This innovation is performed by many innovators who devoted their lives to serve their town by creating high-level works poetry in Mosul is characterized by genuineness and innovation. Committed poetry is always concerned with the different aspects of the life of its community Poets interact. This thesis tackles flirt poem in Mosul between 2003 and 2013. To the researcher's knowledge, this subject has not been studied before. Most of the poets during this period are young people. They produced excellent poetry, which deserves studying. Several studies concerning poetry in Mosul have been performed previously by some researchers. Dr. Abdul-Ghaffaar Abdul Jabbaar Umar wrote a book named "Alaq Al-Nuss fil Buna Al- Fanniyya wa Al-Mawdhouiyya fi Shir Al-Mosul Al-Mu-aasir" (the gleam of text: a study in infra and objective structure in the modern poetry in Mosul). He tackles the production of group of poets in Mosul between 1968 and 1980. Other studies tackle some famous poets of Mosul as Maad Al-Jubouriy, Abdul Wahhab Ismaeel, Thannoon Al Otraqchiy, Salim Al-Khabbaz and others. The most important problems encounters by the researcher is the scarcity of resources. However, by the kind help of my supervisor this problem has been overcome. The thesis consists of introduction and three chapters. The word "Ghazal" (flirt) is discussed linguistically and idiomatically. The poetry movement in Mosul since the beginning of the modern age up to the present time is also discussed in the introduction. In chapter two, the language of poetry is studied. This chapter consists of two sections: the first one tackles the flirt and love vocabulary. The terms of colours, terms of nature and colloquial terms are discussed in this section as well. The second section tackles the reference structure, which contains consistence elements as proverbs and substitution. Chapter two consists of two sections. Section one is devoted to study the outer rhythm which contains the rhyme of the poem of Al Tafeela and the two hemistiches poem. The difference between the absolute and restricted rhythm is discussed in this section. In section two, the internal rhythm is studied. It is represented by paronomasia repetition, alliteration, endings, and sentence and phrase repetition. Chapter three is devoted to the technical image. It consists of two sections. The first section discussed assimilation, metaphor and metonymy images. In the second section, the dynamic, visual and auditory images are studied.
