| 520 | |b Nowadays, we live in the Big Data Era, in an information ecosystem, where many of our actions, researches, photos, and comments, are collected, analyzed and used to predict our behavior, as well as, our likings and inclinations. On the Internet, a simple search will likely lead, to an extensive set of links containing data about any person, which may be untrue, or simply outdated. The scary thing is that this is not designed to be forgotten. With the actual information technologies and communications’ capacity, collected personal data and information can be stored and accessed ad infinitum. Hence, Different interests are at stake when information is made public, collected and exchanged on information systems, either between user and data controller or between related third parties. The most important interest is by far the right of the user to protect his fundamental rights, to keep control on his personal data, to protect his privacy and his right to dignity. In this context , this paper will look over the right to be forgotten on the internet, by focusing on the particularity of the information ecosystem, and the connotations, implications and foundations of this right. | ||
