المستخلص: جاء الاهتمام بمفهوم الأمن العالمي في ضوء التطورات والأحداث المتسارعة التي شهدها المجتمع الدولي والعلاقات الدولية في فترة الحرب الباردة إلا أن مزيدا من التركيز أخذ يبرز بصورة أكثر وضوحاً بعد نهاية الحرب البارة في العام 1990م، فقد كان لهذه التطورات انعكاسات وآثار واضحة على مفهوم الأمن بأبعاده ومستوياته المختلفة عالمياً وإقليمياً. تعرض مفهوم الأمن التقليدي الذي كان سائداً في السابق إلى تطور كبير وشامل عبر مراحل زمنية مختلفة فقد تغير مفهوم الأمن التقليدي إلى تغيير جديد متجاوزاً الأسس التي كان يقوم عليها لا سيما القوة العسكرية في التعامل مع الأخطار والتحديات التي كانت تواجه الدول وذلك عبر إدراك أهمية وضرورة التركيز على منظومة أمنية شاملة من خلال الاهتمام والتركيز على مفهوم الأمن المجتمعي الشامل والكامل. تبين الدراسة ما هي التطورات والتوسع الذي ظهر في حقل الدراسات الأمنية الغربية والشرقية، وأدى إلى إعادة تعريف مفهوم الأمن العالمي وتوسيعه إلى مرجعيات وقطاعات تحليلية جديدة، كما توصلت الدراسة إلى أن التطورات والمتغيرات العالمية والإقليمية وظهور قضايا وتحديات عالمية جديدة هي من أهم الأسباب التي أدت إلى حدوث التغير في مفهوم الأمن العالمي.

The interest in the concept of international security appeared in the light of developments and tremendous events that the international community and international relationships faced in the cold war era. Even more focus on the matter began appearing after the end of the cold war in 1990 because of developments that had very clear effects on the concept of international security in more than one way and on several regional and international levels. The traditional concept of international security has been subjected to great and total enhancement on the course of different time periods. It has also been subjected to drastic change especially regarding the way the military forces handle dangers and challenges that nations come across, by realizing the importance and necessity of concentrating on new comprehensive security systems by paying more attention to the concept of complete and utter community security. This study shows the evolvement and expansion that appeared in the field of community security, which redefined the concept of global security and advanced it into involving new references and new analytical sectors. The study concluded that regional and global changes in addition to the rise of recent global issues and challenges are a couple of the most important reasons that lead to this vast change in the concept of global security. Terminology of study: Security: "is the ability of the state / nation to pursue its national interests by all means and anywhere in the world". Global security: Factors that directly affect the structure of the nation state system and the sovereignty of its members, with particular emphasis on the use, threat and control of force. Contemporary security: believes that the threats and dangers facing societies and states are not necessarily of a military nature, but that there are many diverse threats of an economic and social nature no less important than the military threat.
