أصبحت تطبيقات واستخدامات إنترنت الأشياء في مجالات الحياة كافة من الأمور الضرورية، ولذا فقد استخدم في جميع المجالات الصحية، والتعليمية، والمكتبات وغيرها من المجالات والقطاعات المختلفة، ومن بين أهم هذه المجالات الحديثة هي (الأرشيفات الوطنية)، لما لها من دور كبير في حفظ تراث الأمة، وذاكرتها التاريخية. ولأن معظم دول العالم اهتمت بتطوير وتحديث أرشيفاتها، وهو ما قامت به المملكة العربية السعودية منذ وقتا طويل، ولأن الباحثان اختارا أن يتم تطبيق أحدث التقنيات في العالم على الخدمات الأرشيفية في المركز الوطني للوثائق والمحفوظات، وما يقتنيه من مصادر المعلومات الأرشيفية التقليدية والإلكترونية، وهو ما أكسب الموضوع أهميته، خاصة وأن رؤية ورسالة وأهداف المركز الوطني لا تختلف باختلاف نوعية خدماته، ومقتنياته من مصادر المعلومات الأرشيفية، وكذلك باختلاف المستفيدين من هذه الخدمات والمقتنيات. ولأن مصادر المعلومات الأرشيفية التي يقتنيها المركز تتعلق بتراث الدولة المكتوب والمدون من الوثائق التي انتجتها مؤسسات الدولة عبر الزمن، لهذا فقد اكتسب موضوع هذه الدراسة أهميته من أهمية هذه الوثائق التاريخية الأرشيفية المحفوظة فيه، والتي تمثل ذاكرة الأمة السعودية. لقد تمثل الهدف الرئيس لهذه الدراسة في (وضع تصور كنموذج قابل للتنفيذ في مجال الأرشيفات الوطنية للمساعدة في تنفيذ خدماتها على أفضل صورة ممكنة)، وهو ما تضمنته هذه الدراسة ليكون معينا لكل من يرغب في تطبيق هذه التقنية الحديثة انترنت الأشياء (IOT) في أي مؤسسة أرشيفية. وقد توصلت الدراسة لعدد من النتائج أهمها: أنه باستخدام إنترنت الأشياء: يمكن للمركز الوطني أن يكون بمثابة بنك للمعلومات الإلكترونية على مستوى الدولة، وتحليل بيانات الوثائق المقرر ترحيلها من أجهزة الدولة مباشرة قبل نقلها إلى مخازن المركز الوطني للوثائق والمحفوظات، وبناء على هذه النتائج، جاءت التوصيات في هذه الدراسة كما يلي: أوصى الباحثان بضرورة دعم مؤسسات المعلومات وإنتاج المعرفة وهي مراكز الأبحاث والتأليف، ومؤسسات البحث العلمي وخاصة الأرشيفات الوطنية بأتمتة الأرصدة لديها لكي تتمكن من تطبيق تقنيات إنترنت الأشياء ومميزاتها.

And because most countries of the world have been interested in developing and updating their archives, which Saudi Arabia has done for a long time, and because the researchers chose to apply the latest technologies in the world to the archival services of the National Center for Documentation and Archives, and what it acquires from traditional and electronic archival information sources, which is what The subject gained its importance, especially since the vision, mission, and objectives of the National Center do not differ according to the quality of its services and its holdings of archival information sources, as well as the different beneficiaries of these services and holdings. And because the sources of archival information acquired by the Center relate to the state’s written and written heritage of documents produced by state institutions over time, the subject of this study has gained its importance from the importance of these archival historical documents preserved therein, which represent the memory of the Saudi nation. The main objective of this study was (to envision as a feasible model in the field of national archives to help implement their services in the best possible way), which is included in this study to be specific to anyone who wants to implement this modern technology, the Internet of Things (IOT) in any institution archival. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: Using the Internet of Things: The National Center can act as a bank for electronic information at the state level, and analyze the data of documents to be migrated from state agencies directly before transferring them to the National Center for Documents and Archives stores, and based on these results, came The recommendations in this study are as follows: The researchers recommended the need to support information and knowledge production institutions, namely research and authorship centers, and scientific research institutions, especially national archives, by automating their balances in order to be able to apply Internet of Things technologies and features.
