هناك فرصة كبيرة بالنسبة لمصر في زيادة صادراتها من هذه الصناعة، وبمعدلات كبيرة مما يساهم في علاج العجز في ميزان المدفوعات وزيادة الناتج القومي وحل مشكلة البطالة وزيادة مستوى التوظف، بشرط تبنى استراتيجية صناعية تركز على صناعة الملابس الجاهزة وتدعمها وتدعم المشروعات الصغيرة العاملة في هذا المجال. وبالنظر للقيمة المضافة التي يحققها قطاع المنسوجات والملابس الجاهزة للاقتصاد القومي نجد أنها تتناقص كما أنها متواضعة ولا تتناسب مع إمكاناته ومقوماته الموجودة بمصر بدءًا من المادة الخام وحتى العمالة وهناك فرصة كبيرة لزيادة القيمة المضافة المحققة من هذا القطاع في حالة اهتمام الدولة به. تواجه تنمية مشروعات الملابس الجاهزة عدة معوقات تنقسم إلى معوقات داخلية ومعوقات خارجية وتعتبر صناعة الملابس الجاهزة من الصناعات الواعدة والمرشحة لحل العديد من المشاكل الاقتصادية التي تعانى منها مصر بسبب تمتعها بخصائص تناسب ظروف مصر الحالية كونها صناعة كثيفة العمالة ولا تعتمد على مهارة العمل الفائقة كما أنها تمتاز بانخفاض تكلفة التكنولوجيا الحديثة نسبيا مقارنة بالقطاعات الصناعية الأخرى وبالتالي فإنه في حالة تركيز الدولة على تلك الصناعة والصناعات المغذية والداعمة لها وإزالة المعوقات التي تعترض تنميتها فسوف تستوعب هذه الصناعة أعدادا كبيرة من العمالة وتساهم في حل مشكلة البطالة كما أنها ستحقق قيمة مضافة مرتفعة للاقتصاد القومي وسوف تحد من الواردات وتزيد من الصادرات وبالتالي تساهم في تخفيض عجز الميزان التجاري، وعلى ضوء ما تم عرضه من صعوبات تواجه الصناعة فقد تم عرض بعض السياسات المقترحة والتي تساهم في القضاء على تلك المشكلات.
There is a great opportunity for Egypt to increase its exports from this industry, and at large rates, which contributes to the treatment of the balance of payments deficit and increase the national output and solve the problem of unemployment and increase the level of employment, provided that the adoption of an industrial strategy focused on the garment industry and support small enterprises operating in this area. In view of the value added achieved by the textile and garments sector of the national economy, we find that it is decreasing and is modest and does not match its potential and its existing elements in Egypt, from raw material to labor. There is a great opportunity to increase the value added achieved by this sector in case the state is interested in it. The development of ready-made garments projects faces several obstacles, which are divided into internal and external obstacles. The garment industry is considered one of the most promising industries and candidates for solving many of the economic problems that Egypt suffers because of its characteristics that suit the current conditions of Egypt as it is a labor-intensive industry and does not depend on the skill of the work as it is characterized by the relatively low cost of modern technology compared to other industrial sectors Consequently, if the state focuses on this industry and nutritious and supporting industries and removes the obstacles to its development, this industry will absorb large numbers of labor and contribute to solving the problem of unemployment. The trade balance deficit, and in light of the difficulties presented to the industry has been presented some of the proposed policies that contribute to the elimination of these problems
