هدف هذا البحث إلى التعرف على مدى مساهمة مدير المدرسة الثانوية في تنمية المجتمع المحلي بالريف الشمالي لأمدرمان بمحلية كرري فيما يتعلق بالجوانب الثقافية، والاجتماعية، والبيئية والصحية والاقتصادية، ومن أهدافه أيضا تحديد المشاكل التي تحد من فاعلية دور مدير المدرسة الثانوية بالريف الشمالي لأمدرمان في تنمية المجتمع المحلي. وقد أتبع الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، واستخدم الباحث الاستبانة والملاحظة كأداتين لجمع المعلومات، وتكونت العينة من (127) معلم ومعلمة، و(160) من أولياء امور التلاميذ. وبعد معالجة الاستبانة إحصائيا باستخدام اختبار (ت) توصل الباحث للعديد من النتائج من أهمها: (1) مساهمة مدير المدرسة الثانوية بالريف الشمالي لمحلية كرري غير فاعلة فيما يتعلق بنشر الوعي الصحي. (2) توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية لصالح مدير المدرسة الثانوية بالريف الشمالي بأمدر مان بمحلية كرري في تقديم الخدمات البيئية. (3) حرص مدير المدرسة الثانوية بالريف الشمالي بأمدر مان بمحلية كرري بالاتصال الدائم بأولياء أمور التلاميذ، وعقد مجالس الآباء والمعلمين بانتظام. (4) لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية حول مساهمة مدير المدرسة الثانوية بالريف الشمالي لمحلية كرري في حل مشكلة الأمية بالمجتمع المحلي. (5) ضعف العلاقة بين مدير المدرسة الثانوية والمؤسسات الاقتصادية الموجودة بالمجتمع المحلي.
The present research aims at determining the participation of the principal of the secondary school in the development of the local community of the northern rural area of Omdurman at Karrari Locality, concerning the cultural, social, and environmental, health and economic sides. Another of the aims of this research is also to determine the problems that limit the role of the efficiency of the secondary school principal at the north rural area of Omdurman in the development of the local community. The researcher applied the descriptive analytic method, and used the questionnaire and observation as two tools for collecting data. The sample studied is of (127) male and female teachers, and (160) pupils guardians. After statistically treating the questionnaire by using (T) test the researcher comes out to many results, the most important of which are: a) 1) The participation of the principal of the secondary school at the northern rural area of Omdurman at Karrari Locality is no efficient concerning the propagation of the health education. b) 2) There are differences of statistical significance in favor of the principal of the northern rural area of Omdurman at Karrari Locality if offering the health education. c) 3) The principal of the secondary school at the northern rural area of Omdurman at Karrari Locality stick to contact regularly the guardians of the pupils, as well as holding regularly the guardians and teachers Boards. d) 4) There are no differences of statistical significance about the participation of the principal of the secondary school at the northern rural area of Omdurman at Karrari Locality, in solving the illiteracy of the local community. e) 5) The relationship between the principal of the secondary school and the economical institution of the local community is week.
