|f Analysis of the phenomenon of environmental degradation in Algerian society begins with a study and psycho-social analysis of some of the simple behaviors of individuals, namely, dumping waste all the time and everywhere, in any form, which we see comes from the big and the small, from the educated and the uneducated, from the poor and the rich, from the male and the female.\nWe often see people open their fancy car windows to throw away the waste of what they ate, including plastic bottles, or any other waste. We also see housewives throwing garbage bags or significant amounts of dirty water from their balconies, as well as young people and children who throw domestic waste bags or any other waste within a few meters of designated places, are all indifferent to the resulting negative effects on public health, or to private social conflicts between neighbours.\nThese are all behaviours that in fact result in the inability of Algerians to adapt to the conditions of life within the urban environment and continue to deal with the environment in accordance with traditional behaviours due to the influence of the traditional social system.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018

|d L'analyse de la dégradation environnementale dans la société algérienne commence par l’étude et l’analyse psychosociale de certains comportements simples, à savoir le fait jeter des déchets tout le temps, partout, et sous toutes les formes ; des comportements qui proviennent de personnes de tous âges, de tous les niveaux culturels et socioéconomiques, et des deux sexes.\nIl n’est pas rare de voir des personnes ouvrir les fenêtres de leurs voitures de luxes pour jeter les restes de nourriture, des bouteilles en plastiques ou d'autres déchets. Les maîtresse de maisons ne se gênent même pas lorsqu’elles lancent des sachets de poubelles ou des seaux d’eau usée de leurs balcons, c’est aussi le cas des jeunes et des enfants qui jettent des sacs poubelles, ou tout autre déchets, à seulement quelques mètres des poubelles ; tous indifférents aux conséquences de leurs actes sur la santé publique et/ou sur les relations sociales et les conflits que cela peut engendrer entre voisins.\nTout ceci illustre au fait l'incapacité des Algériens à s'adapter aux conditions de vie en milieu urbain, et qu’ils continuent à faire face à l'environnement selon les comportements traditionnels dus à l'influence du système social traditionnel.\n

|a إن تحليل ظاهرة تدهور البيئة في المجتمع الجزائري يبدأ بالدراسة والتحليل النفسي الاجتماعي لبعض السلوكات البسيطة الصادرة عن الأفراد، المتمثلة في رمي النفايات في كل وقت، وفي كل مكان، وبأي شكل، والتي نراها تصدر عن الكبير والصغير، عن المتعلم وغير المتعلم، عن الفقير والغني، عن الذكر والأنثى.\nكثيرا ما نرى أشخاصا يفتحون نوافذ سياراتهم الفخمة من أجل رمي مخلفات ما أكلوا بما فيها من زجاجات بلاستيكية، أو أي نفايات أخرى، كما نرى ربات بيت يرمين أكياسا من القمامات أو كميات معتبرة من المياه القذرة من شرفات منازلهم، بالإضافة إلى الشباب والأطفال الذين يرمون أكياس النفايات المنزلية، أو أي نفايات أخرى على بعد أمتار بسيطة من الأماكن المخصصة لذلك، غير مبالين جميعا لا بما ينتج عن ذلك من آثار سلبية على الصحة العمومية، ولا عن صراعات اجتماعية خاصة بين الجيران.\nوهذه كلها سلوكات تمن في الواقع عن عجز الجزائريين عن التكيف مع شروط الحياة داخل المحيط الحضري، واستمرار تعاملهم مع البيئة وفقاً للسلوكات التقليدية بفعل تأثير النظام الاجتماعي التقليدي.\n
