إن الدعوة إلى الله تعالى مهمة نبيلة، وصفة شريفة، إذ هي مهمة الرسل والأنبياء-عليهم السلام، والداعية أفضل الناس قولا، وكلامه في التبليغ أفضل الكلام، ولذلك يشترط على الداعية أن يتهيأ لدعوته بمقومات تساعده على تحقيق أهداف دعوته وتحفظه كذلك من عوائق الطريق ومعوقاته. وهذه المقومات قد تكون فطرية كالبلاغة والفصاحة، وحسن الصوت، والذكاء والفطنة، وقد تكون هذه المقومات إيمانية كالإخلاص، وحسن الصلة بالله عز وجل، والتوكل. وقد تكون مقومات علمية كالعلم، والثقافة الإسلامية، وقد تكون مقومات سلوكية كالرفق واللين، والصبر، والتدرج. وأما العوائق التي قد تقف في طريق دعوته، فمنها العوائق الداخلية كالحسد، والكبر، وتباع الهوى، ومنها العوائق الخارجية كالفرقة والتنازع، والتعجل وعدم الصبر، والغلو. ومن أهم محار التطبيقات الدعوية لمقومات نجاح الداعية: تكامل شخصية الداعية وشموها، والنجاح في القيام بالدعوة، وسلامة المقصد وحسن التوجه، وطمأنينة النفس وانشراح الصدر، والاهتمام بالدعوة، والثبات والاستمرار، والثقة في الله تعالى والاعتماد عليه، والبصيرة، والبيان في الدعوة والصدع بها، والتعاون في الدعوة إلى الله تعالى والبعد عن التحزب والتفرق.
Preaching for the sake of Almighty Allah is a noble mission. It is such a mission of apostles as well as prophets – peace be upon them all. The preacher is the best of speakers. His speech is the most fluent. In so doing, he has to get qualified in such a way that enables him to render his targets in a manner that can keep him secure from such hindrances that he may come across. Such potentialities may be innate such as fluency and eloquence, beautiful voice, intelligence, etc. They may have to do with faith as is the case with sincerity, good connectedness with good reliance on Allah. They may as well be academic such as knowledge of the subject matter, Islamic culture, etc. They may finally be behavioral as lenience, tolerance, gradation, patience, etc. As for hindrances that can stand against the preacher, there may be inner obstacles just as envy, pride, passion, etc. They may be external just as dissention, dispute, hurry, impatience, exaggeration, etc. Among the most important preaching applications of the successful preacher’s potentialities are the integration and inclusiveness of the preacher’s character, success in rendering his mission, good intention, self-tranquility, being well at ease, interest in preaching, reliability, stability, trust in Allah, insight, eloquent style, promulgating the mission, cooperation in rendering the mission and finally, avoidance of partisanship as well as disunion.
